I think that is why having good software is important. It helps you make or change things according to your personal tastes. It also teaches you to save the original design in its original form too! Don't want to mess them up while I fool around with them.
Well, I don't know about the puddings but I like most anything sweet-LOL
The picture looks yummy.
I guess it 's the daffodils that prompted this.
I like filled designs to be a bit lighter. Embird's default 4.0 density is far too dense to my liking, I set it at 4.3 - 4.5 depending on the fabric I intend to stitch it on. And I love the light and airy line designs, enjoyed digitising the finger and hand puppets as well as the designs for cards and FSL. And like to switch from one technique to another.
For actually embroidering designs I very much prefer easy - lazy me - which means I only occasionally choose a design that has umpteen colour changes, though I don't mind rather long sewing times as long as I don't have many colour changes.
As for the pudding - had never seen or eaten a sponge pud before we moved to England, prefer a nice melt-in-the-mouth bavarois which unfortunately also packs an awful lot of calories. :)
Thanks for that detailed answer. On the few filled designs that i have done myself I have started with the density on about 6.0 and then made it denser if I didn't like the result.
Pudding equals calories! (It is the law)
Ohhhh - I haven't had a treacle sponge pudding in years. Looks so good.
Sue, came back to read others answers & got a big chuckle! Seems we all would rather EAT than try to decide what type embroidery we like! Good thing pictures don't have calories!!
In some ways the same here. my taste in the choice of designs changes sometimes and that is a good reason to dl as much as I can *lol* When I started 5 years ago jacobean style was not really mine but nowerdays I like some of those designs. There are only a few things I really don't dl (like ragdolls, all things for thanksgiving/pilgrims > we haven't got that here in Germany). Still love redwork cause I'm lazy and don't like many color changes (but still love emblibrary's fairies).
We don't have that kind of puddings here regularly but for desserts I love it with much chocolate and really heavy ;o)
Greetings, Bettina
Mmmmm, love lots of different foods and lots of different designs.
Yum that pudding looks delicious. I also like a variety of designs. From in the hoop to really detailed. Depends on what I am making. It is cold here in Bowral today in New South Wales Australia. Have the washing hanging under the pergola in case of showers...Lyn
mmmmmmmm ,its cold and raining here in the Blue Mountains today ,I would just love a peice of that pudding with a nice hot cuppa right now...
sorry can't think of embroidery right now
Dont think I am up to discussing much but love the contrast of Urban designs as they are so different. I also enjoy using designs from other sites too. I tend not to go for the cartoon designs as they are not 'my cup of tea' Is this sponge made with suet? I dont like suet sponges. The cat and I are now off to make a quick treacle sponge in the microwave
embroidery what, I just want a piece of that, lol
looks delicious
I like a variety of designs...but for some strange reason I am now just dying for a piece of sweet bread or something!! Wonder why! :-)
I think we all need a variety in our diets and in our designs. Thankfully there are plenty to go around in both categories.
