Beautifully hand smocked. Must have taken quite a while to get it looking so perfect.
this is absolutely gorgeous, the hard work was really worth the finished product, lovely
Wow Kanny this is stunning work, the detail is adorable. The fabric is gorgeous, and the smocking really finishes the dress off. Your GD will love it for sure :)
This is so beautiful. I love the extra detail at the hem and the piping on the collar and sleeve.
Just lovely...did you hand smock the design or machine embroider the smocking? Did you pleate the fabric yourself or buy it pre-pleated? I am entertaining buying a pleater...I have never smocked before but I have seen some lovely designs on Elizabeths site for smocking and I am intrigued...
i bought a pleater and it is hand smocked the design comes from australian smocking & embroidery magazine which can purchase from www.countrybumpkin.com.au/ great magazine. Each magazine comes with 6 or more multi sized patterns, it comes out qaurterly, great value.
Thanks for the information...I still am wondering about getting a pleater...still researching the brands...can you recommend one?
i bought the super amanda pleater as this was made in australia (where i live) its user friendly.I spoke to the Gwen Gladwin from Busy Smockers she recommended i buy the super apposed to the baby pleater . the super pleater has more needles. I was surprised how easy they are to use.
