I have a former hunting doggie that we rescued. When we got her she was so skinny and scared. Two years later shes a happy dog... ie - literally fat and happy. Once barely 20 pounds - she now weighs nearly 60. She loves to lay on the floor with me when I embroider and the silly thing tries to jump in my lap when I'm on the computer. She just ran up to me and pushed my chair (on wheels) towards the kitchen. I thought she needed to go out so I followed her - but no... not outside... she wanted frozen lima beans. She runs to the freezer and sits nice and pretty with her little head tilted sideways so I will feed her frozen vegetables. She doesn't like doggie treats - nope - frozen veggies for her! Now that shes had her treat - she's passed out under my desk :) She's just waiting until we go to bed where she can climb onto her nice new pillow that I made her. Even embroidered her name on it! My sweet Penny!

My avatar is my rescued German Shepherd. I always wondered why she ended up in the animal shelter. She is my best buddy. She is very picky in the vegetable department. So far I know melon rind and celery. Thanks for rescuing a dog. Too many animals with no home.

Most definitely! Shes my sweet girl. I didn't want a dog when we got her but now I don't know what I'd do without her.
