This is for the quilter. I made this quilt out of scraps to try to reduce my stash of scraps.I sewed the fabrics together randomly, then squared each blocks of to 6 inches. Then I joined 4x6 inch blocks to make a 12 inch block and included black sashing and a wide, black border. This is what I came up with. And guess what---MY STASH OF SCRAPS IS STILL GETTING BIGGER!!!!

the only fabric i had to buy for this quilt was the black for the borders, sashing and backing and the wadding. For the binding i sewed a whole heap of scrapppy strips together.

Ricky, if you have two more boxes - you could easily just make me one and send it to me and then you might not have any boxes, left. My bed is a queen size. Wow, this is lovely. Great work! *4U Shirlene

This is a beautiful scrap quilt. Like the colours and the black sashing. I recently read about a-mile-a-minute quilts and started. But that's as far as I got. Seeing this is a nice reminder to do something with the contents of that box under my sewing table and go through the remnant and scrap boxes, find a few fat quarters.. Oh dear, this project page - so many great ideas and so many excuses to do something else first. Flower for you.

This is beautiful and the black sashing really sets it off. Good use of scraps - and just how is the scarp stash getting bigger? Could it be you are like the rest of us?
