Got a few of them and it didn't have my name on it so didn't open it but went right to the Paypal account to check. They sure do have expensive taste.
got that the other day showed my dd and she dealt with it for me she said paypal were good to deal with ..
Follow the advice of forwarding it to Paypal. I have always had very positive feedback from them when I have needed to contact them. They can only improve if we give them the info to do so.
Always forward suspicious emails like that to spoof@paypal.com. They always check them and will reply to you.
I got one too and Paypal has already notified me that it is a splishing email.

I received this as well. I just forwarded it to paypal for their information.
My son whos a computer geek spent days fixing this up while he was talking to paypal on the phone they were at it and he and paypal watched lol He was from the uk and they got him lol
I got 2 of these as well. I sent them on to the address provided when I logged into my paypal account & paypal replied that they are phishing. I knew I hadn't bought it as there's not that much money in my account.LOL I keep a debit account just for any internet purchases & top it up when I have to

I also received an e-mail from PayPal thanking me for my order...only I hadn't placed an order...I deleted it immediately...
Also received this e-mail and went to the Paypal site like you did. Under contact us they have a e-mail address and I've forwarded the received e-mail to the address provided. Paypal advised that this is a phising e-mail and that they are aware of them. So I suppose they use the detail in a preventative manner.
There is a way and its easy. I have a business account, so mine maybe a little different... but
1) login
2) Make sure you are on the "my account" tab and then click on "resolution center". Its near the right under the row of tabs
3) look towards the right side and it says "report a problem" - click that tab
4) now click the button
5) now choose "I want to report a transaction that I didn't authorize"
6) you probably don't have a transaction id, so just click continue
I don't know how far I can go without actually sending something so I stopped... There are a lot of links with help along the way. If I remember somewhere you may actually be able to attach a file - and you can attach the document. Many times they can trace where the email originated from, so they may ask you to forward it to them.
While I have never actually filed a complaint, I called and spoke to them regarding my options to do so and they were very helpful. I purchased a digital website file that was supposed to come with support, but when it came down to it, they refused to provide the support. In the end I decided to not file a complaint, not use the product and pray that God would "heep burning coals on his head" and let it go.
You can always call Paypal too - I'm not sure what kind of holiday hours they will have, but it never hurts. For all the bad reviews I've read about Paypal - I've had nothing but good from them.
Got that too. They think I bought a new smart phone. LOL. You can go to Paypal on your own, NOT through their link and double check your transactions. I haven't reported to Paypal but I'm sure if you go to your account there would be a way.
