I always use DVD's for data storage. I also make a copy of any programs that need you to have the program disk inserted while you run it, then i can safely store the master disk to reduce scratches and damage and I use the copy instead. Occasionally a copy will become corrupt so I make another copy from my (still pristine) master and away i go. Saves trying to get replacements or having to repurchase the program. Hope this makes sense. hugs n roses, M
open your burner program and if there is a heading 'burn a dvd' or simular heading, click on this & follow the prompts it will tell u if you have the right medium (DVD - CD)Good Luck
I have a CD writer on my computer is that the same as a DVD writed or are they two entirely different things????Guess what I'm asking is can I burn a DVD on a CD burned I guess you call it. Please don"t tell me to look in book cause I haven't a clue in heaven where it might be.Moved a year and half ago and lots & lots of stuff still packed in boxs by 7 or 8 different people.Thank heaven I had them to do it for me. Must do something with my designs soon afarid of loosing them all.
A DVD writer will usually burn CDs but not necessarily the other way around. A DVD can hold a lot more data than a CD.
You go girl. I started using DVD's a while ago. I have 2 going now. One is always latest.. most up to date.. I alternate them. I also have many many CD's like you and a couple other DVD's. Maybe one day/week/month I will get the designs organized?!?! LOLOL *4U ><>
