I've had a smartphone for a while and still don't know everything about it and run into problems and need help to figure things out.
good luck!
Well, bless you! I detest technology that changes every 10 minutes. I not only don't have a smart phone, or even a dumb phone, I have a hillbilly phone, I guess. It only makes calls. No texts, no pictures, just a phone that makes phone calls, what a concept. And I only use it for emergencies. MY emergencies, that is, I don't ever answer the cell phone, ever. Because I don't understand that the music is the phone ringing, and it's dead half the time anyway. But God love you if you enjoy it, go for it, by all means! Hugs, Marji
Hi Jan! Congratulations on your new phone!! That is great! You will LOVE it:>) We had smartphones prior to my hubby retiring, and he thought we should downsize to some dumb phones...big mistake....now i am waiting for the contract to expire so I can go back to a smarter phone. And.. they are far smarter now than when I bought my first one! Can't wait!!
I'm so proud of YOU, Jan, for advancing your "Tech" status!! LOL I admire those who are capable of operating the newer gadgets! For me, I am very satisfied with the basic phone, cause I never use a phone to do anything except make a call! Now, hubby is another diehard "techno", who wants each new on that hits the market! I know he is going into tough withdrawls and is drooling over the "Droids", as we haven't changed phone for the past three years now! LOL
Enjoy your new phone, Jan!
Hugs, Angel
Isn't technology great?
I got the new I-phone 5 on the day it was released, Sept 30 / 12 and I just love it.
I've had a modern Blue tooth/Wi-fi stereo system installed in my car so I can go totally hands free there too. One button press on the radio then state your intentions, so cool.
I'm afraid hubby and I are both techno nerds and have to keep up with the latest gear.
He'll get an I-phone when he retires in July because he'll lose his company phone then. He complains bitterly that he wants one NOW. LOL!!!
Hugs n congrats, Meg
I have an Android Galaxy S III since before Thanksgiving. It's like a mini computer and unlike my last Droid I don't have to download the Dolphin Browser in order to download embroidery files. They are amazing and lots to figure out. If you go on line and search your phone there will be lots of reviews where they talk about all the features. My son sells various cell phones for multiply companies and he keeps us up to date on all the new ones. He has a full time job at a real estate company now so will only be selling phones as part time after this week but he will still have to have the latest ones.
My husband got me one 2 years ago. I am happily going back to a more basic phone. I am proud of you for being more technologically adept person than I am.
Be sure to get the Dolphin Browser for downloading designs.
Does a I-phone count? I need help occasionally from the grandkids to show me all that in can do. I miss manuals that made you realize what the capability is. How can you search in help if you don't know?
I know what you mean. Turning pages, pinching screens. How do you know how to do it all? My kids say, you just know. Or, Duh, it makes sense. Well, no it doesn't make sense when the technology is new to you.
