This is from a design I bought ages ago and am far from happy with the quality of the stitching. My photos dont help either but between the two feat the base there is a area that has stitched out with loads of loops. The second picture is supposed to show it from the reverse. Is there anything I can do to solve the problem or is the answer to delete and get another one? Thanks for looking and answering

Even if you purchased the design a long time ago, is it still offered for sale? If so, I'd contact the digitizer and tell her about this problem. Sometimes things aren't digitized well, or the translation from the native digitizing format to the different machine formats has a momentary glitch in it, and the design gets a bit mucked up unintentionally. Even if you got it a long time ago, if it's still up for sale, I would think the digitizer would correct it for you. I had Suz at BFC Creations offer to help me with a design that she did simply ages ago, and that was on like a clearance sale. I just sent her a pic to show off how beautiful it looked, and I mentioned that I had a problem in one tiny area, but thought it was my machine, that I had bumped the hoop. She said if it turned out I continued to have problems with it in that area, let her know and she'd look at it for me. I was impressed. So, try the digitizer first. I tried to see the problem from your pix, but when I enlarged them, they were just too out of focus to see anything. Hope this helps. Hugs, Marji

Thanks to those who have replied, I did not add the fabric was a medium weight cotton and I used 2 layers of stabiliser. With a huge amount of effort I did get the design to sew out but in retrospect the design has always caused problems.

Whenever I have tension problems, the back looks like yours too. Your fabric does look too thin to support this dense of a design. You can practically see right through it. You could try better stabilization, but you probably will still have puckering problems or waviness in the design.

Caroline it looks like that welsh dragon I have from one of the freebie-pages (thought it was from Henry's theinternetsite.com but did not find it). Had a design last week and on one place it does stitch over and over again. Thread breaks and nearly the needle :o(
Has it stitched more than once on that part?
Greetings, Bettina

I'm no pro but when I run into this type of problem I can usually fix it with a second sheet of stablizer. Hope that this will help.

Hi there.. I believe its go through the normal questions..
as i digitise, i know that you cannot produce a design that will suit all fabrics.. for instance cotton and terry towel will require different densities,
backing ect.. for me there is more info on your rear image as you have a large area of red showing on the wing on the rear which would suggest a tension problem, as you should only see a little pull around the edge of the block parts of the design,
Big hugs - Maria xx

Thanks Maria, I put the reverse of the design up as it showed the problem well
