Actually, this is perfection in my book! In looking at your photos, it appears that the second hooping may be off by 1/8 of an inch...or less! So what? That's going to be pretty hard to correct for if you are using a home machine. What is this "plastic thingy" that you are using? Is it a centering tool?
I do have a question about the design you are stitching. I notice that there is a line making a box around each quarter part of the design. I assume that that is a basting stitch? It just looks too dense to be basting. I don't normally see those lines in that design on quilts. I bet if you removed them and your marking lines, you'd see this in a different light. Of course, if you are just using this for practice, you could get a box of those crayons and start coloring too...! Yes, I am a quilter at heart and have learned a lot about problem solving over the years. I enjoy and mostly do hand quilting. I don't think there is any such thing as an ugly bride, baby, or quilt!
ok the plastic thingie is the template and i think u are right those darn lines are were u are to sew it ,now maybe if i delete them it will look awesome .lol will try that next thank-u hugs carolyn
nope i can't delete them there my sewing lines u see these are to be 4 parts and i am trying to make it one or two parts ok
Looks like you have to be so precise on measuring. Is this like lining up a split design?
is this a quilt block? It looks complicated. We'll know who to call on for help. Great job.
Thank you very much for sharing. You are an inspiration and your pictures give us a real idea of how it is done. I haven't tried anything like it yet but possibly will now.
Looks great, Carolyn, looking forward to seeing the complete project.
I have no experience doing anything like this - but they look great to me.
It's hard work on your own, been there, but when you have some one to show you it falls into place so easy, but you are getting there,
GOOD for YOU it will be lovely when done...great choice.
Oh my goodness this is really nice. You will have a beautiful quilt soon. You are doing something that is hard to me that is knowing where something comes together and the lining it up to get there.
another nice one Carolyn, interesting to see what the finished product will look like
hugs
Michelle
Wow is the word that came to mind. Keep trying. They look better and better each time.
So far so good you are going to make it to the end Maria
Looks good to me. I don't think I could do as well as you are doing on this project. Keep going - can't wait to see the final results.
