You are making great progress and have gotten quite a few tips and opinions on how to sew your blocks together...one question that keep popping up in my mind...You said this was an Anita Goodesign quilt..she is so good at including complete instructions with pictures for her design patterns...what technique does she recommend for this project. Usually the design of the block is digitized with a method to sew together in mind when it is digitized...just curious what recommendations for completing the quilt were included with the design package...
yes she does but she wants me to sew one block at a time then sew 4 pieces etc. wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy to slowwwwwwwww !!Then sew on each piece an 1/8 ribbon angain to slow so i will do it myyyyyyyyyy wayyyyyyyyy (remember the song)??
I could have added if u have been watching my sewing you should notice that i like to change things ,like make them bigger make them smaller ,reverse the designs just to name a few ****ok
Oh for goodness sake! I had to go back to your very first post and see how my thinking went down the wrong path. A "block" to me means all four pieces together creates one block. In a photo you showed ribbon cutting the "block" up into four pieces. I suspect they mean to put a ribbon around the blocks to frame them so the entire design can be seen, not to quarter them which would break up the look of the block. So, yes, a ribbon, small braid, or small band of lace (like you can buy in stores, or make your own?) between the blocks would frame the designs nicely. The blocks are certainly laying nice and flat! Good work! You have the patience of a saint!
I love your quilt.. Missed your earlier post about the template and you may have visited these sites but in case, enjoy

Carolyn these are just beautiful. I think the blue ribbon will set off the designs so well. Looking forward to seeing it finished. I just spent yesterday cutting out a quilt. Took all day. So many small pieces. Hope to start sewing today.

All the blocks look amazing. Had no idea there were this many different designs.
Beautiful!! Looking forward to see the final project:>)
Well, my 2 cents is I adore all of them and am admiring like a kid looking at a catalog. This one, no this one and I do like a couple designs best but adore all of them. At your pace & depending on size this weekend you'll be done or close. If it were me all would have to hope I live long enough. If I say quilt every body and their buddy needs me for something.
yes i know what u mean but i do many things as my machine sews .Like i just gave John a hair cut .Now the washer and dry Quit .I can't sit still for long lol hugs
Looking good!!! You must be spending every spare minute on this project. At this rate, you'll be finished soon. I can't quite imagine these beautiful blocks divided with ribbon, but I will wait patiently to see your sample.
yes i need to get to a city first ,i live deep in the bush in Northern Ontario and the nearest store is 45 minutes away well 60 now its winter hugs carolyn
