I'm almost certain this has been asked but don't know how to search for it. Will embird and Studio work well with Windows 8?? I really don't want to upgrade to the newer windows but it's inevetable, how do you cuties feel about this version and using your Studio?? Many Thanks, Dolly

I found most of my software won't work with window's 8 as it does not support a cd/dvd drive and you have to load additional software to use a cd. I keep most of my designs on cd so quickly went back to win 7

Not a true statement "that Win 8 does not support a cd/dvd drive".
I have downloaded 2 programs from CDs with no problem.

I am in my 70's and not having problems with my older Adobe Photoshop, nor my 2 Corel applications.

So the Embird 2012 update won't 'fix' any problems with Windows 8??

i just got a new laptop for cmas and my son is teaching me to use it ,will see how i do in a few months lol

I have Windows 8, and bought the Embird software, but couldn't get anywhere with it, so then paid out for PEDesign Next, which is brilliant. So now I think Embird wasn't the problem, it was Windows 8 !!! But I am more than happy with the Brother software, it does such a lot.
