I just started having numbness in my left hand. I can still work, however I feel my days are numbered. It is not a good feeling.

It is a very strange feeling, have lost strength too so have to be careful when lifting items, especially hot food.

Welcome back Missed you!. I had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands and do not regret it one bit. My hands are great now. Easy recovery too to get back to normal. Best to you! Suzanne

Though going to work when you don't want to be there. I too will be going back within the next few months after being off with health issues for the last 2 years. I am dreading it and my only consolation is that I have started my pre-retirement so I only work 3 days a week now. I have the carpel tunnel problem as well but will wait to get it done.
Good luck

I agree with Sue. I've had both hands done - one 30 years ago when the doctor said it would last 20 years and I really should get it done again. The other one was only done about 12 years ago and is wonderful. I had a local on the right hand, but was under a GA for the left one as I had a minor procedure done as well. I hope you can get yours done really soon. Love and blessings Chris

Now the local one is just what I would like. Dont like being knocked out as I take too long to get over it. This is such a common thing to have, I need to find time to get off work to get it fixed. Sadly my desk was overloaded with paper work after 1 month as there is no one here that does my work. will take all week to catch up again.

Empathy! The fix is easy though - short operation under local anaesthetic works like a charm. I had both mine done 20 years agoand one is looking like it needs a repeat performance. Hope you get sorted very soon.

Oh so happy to hear that it is a minor operation and that the results appear to be very good, my next problem to solve.
