Does anyone know, if there is glue required at the ith-zipper cases-designs of embroiderygarden? They are completely lined, but somehow you need to turn them, don't you? ;)

Since no sewing is required, you have to glue the opening - or do I have a "knot in my brain"? :)

when I have done them from ITH it is finished with the zipper open so you can turn it there was no sewing, I haven't done Embroidery Garden but the others work that way, give it a try works great.

I just brought cases designs. It says sew step 7 This step sews the case together leaving an opening . Then it says you get a nicer finish when you hand sew the opening closed, so you do have to finis an opening! Hope this helps

Sue an I know a secret - but in this secret there is still a hole - on the outside of the purse...

Well, this hole does not have to be big, but still, the purse needs to be turned through it...

So there would be an additional sewing needed...

Or don't you mind the hole on the outside?!

there is no additional sewing needed...I have her ith zippered cases and have made several of them...none of them need additional sewing

When I make mine, which are fully lined, I leave a small gap at the base when I add the lining. (The back fabric and the lining fabric are stitched down separately.) This needs to be stitched by hand. I don't know how the Embroidery Garden ones are done.

Exactly, but there seems to be a trick - and I am going to have sleepless nights, until I figure it out!

have a look at sues cat case in dbc, it will help your brain untie the knot

The trick of sue I know! :) Thanks. But the trick of Reen is until now not figured out...

=> no glue, no extra sewing... turning through the zippers...

I haven't posted any of my "completely lined with no raw edges" in DBC. If you send me a pm with your email address, I'll send you the details.

I have many of Reen's designs - zip cases included. You turn them through the zipper opening. No glue needed or extra sewing required! I hope this makes sense!! Hugs to you! Laura*

Then I am too stupid - I want to digitize such a design and I cannot figure it out - there has to be a hole somewhere...

gerryb by gerryb 25 Jan 2013

Before you sew up all around the edge, you must open the zipper so you can turn the bag thru the zipper opening. Hope that helps.

*lol* but when you do it in one hooping - and you turn the bag through the zipper - there are raw edges.

I just sewed this with the sewing machine, until now there is no way there for me to make this without a turning hole...

Or there is a hole somewhere, but because of double-turning this hole is not on the inside -> but then it has to be on the outside...

I am thinking the whole day already *lol*

The earlier designs are different. They have raw edges on the inside and need no hand sewing (or glue.)
