Hi Shirlene, are you sure it was your cousin and his friend and not two angels looking like them, praise the Lord for souls looking after us, keep well, hugs S*
It is nice that u have family in times of need !!!!We had ice last week then a foot of snow lol hugs for u and Rick Carolyn
Hope you stayed safe in the house. I'm sure they appreciated the warm coffee. It's a blessing to have wonderful, kind people around us.
I just love a cup of kindness... What a wonderful cousin to think of you and Rick. We are all in the deep freeze here on the East coast. Single digits snow etc.... Hope it breaks soon. Keep warm and stay put unless it is necessary to go out. Don't want you slipping and sliding all over the place. Suzanne
You never know when you have to get out. Even with the roads being treated this time the freezing rain/sleet/snow mix made driving very hazardous where we live. I know I would have been very appreciated if someone came to help with the ice removal. Stay in and warm and hope you don't have to venture out.
Hi - here is Germany - also very cold now for about two weeks.
Have layers of ice on side ways and cars too.
I have a useful hint to remove the ice from the car windows easily:
Just rinse COLD water over the frozen windows, wait some seconds
(according to the thickness of the ice more or less - you ought to try
this out) and then you can remove without force in most of the cases.
I was so glad to get this hint from our local TV and the next day we had the ice rain and it really worked for our van. Good luck for all of you in the cold out there - but be careful not to produce an ice layer around the car. Have a nice weekend not an ice weekend - Maria
Blessings on your cousin and his friend. I am glad they were nt just thinking of you but there to help you. Stay safe.
I am happy to hear that someone is thinking of you and Rick. Hopefully you can stay inside until things thaw out somewhat. It is snowing here in PA and looks like a winter wonderland,. Very cold here. Hugs, Mary
It's soooo cold here even the ice is staying away, lol. Luckily, we can plug the car in, so it will start. Hubby once had an unusual experience with the cold; his car froze as he was driving along a river going north to a meeting; barely made it to a garage where he had to wait until it could be thawed out. It just stopped moving...Wonder what they thought when he phoned to say he couldn't make it because his car froze!!!???? Good friends like yours are worth their weight in gold....
Oh, blessing on your cousin & his friend!! Praying you don't NEED to get out, but what a caring family to come & be sure you can if you have to!! Hope you & Rick are doing ok in this winter weather!! Even East TN is icy today!
It's a Winter wonderland here in Pa. too....hehehehhe
Temps fell below 2 degrees last Monday night .... Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
We are getting more snow right now - 4-6 inches the weatherman calls for. Can't wait til spring.
I'm so glad your Cousin was able to come and help you.
Hugs
Oh, such a thoughtful gesture by your cousin, Shirlene! That ice is dangerous, so hoping you do not have any emergency need to travel! A great blessing to have caring family members and friends like this. I'm sure the hot coffee was needed and appreciated, too, by the time that COLD job was done! Keep warm and safe!
Hugs, Angel
