Here is a scary dream for you, last night I woke up in a cold sweat and a bit of a panic. I dreamt my house was on fire and after they put the fire out, I entered the house to find everything intact except my sewing room. Machine, supplies and everything was still there but ALL MY FABRIC STASH was destroyed. I had a terrible week this week, you know the kind that nothing seems to work, embird problems, designs going haywire etc. and I jokingly mentioned to my SIL that I was going to put everything up for sale and find a new hobby. I guess my sub-consious wanted me to LOL. At least I hope that is what it was.

Had me in such a state I almost got up in the middle of the night to check my stash but it was just so cold that I reasoned myself to stay in bed, "if it's gone there ain't nothing I can do about it know I thought".
I guess my dream means one of two things, I should look for another hobby or go out and buy to add to my stash, What do you all think LOL?

it is funny how we have so many thing in common, I do feel proud when I leave JoAnn fabric or Wall-Mart with no fabric , because must of the time I have to buy that especial fabric, I can not leave the store without it. so keep buy fabrics, make beautiful quilts!!!!

Make a couple of quilts to give to a hospital for children with cancer etc, also a couple of ITH bears. you will feel much better & your stash will go down then you can replace it

That wasn't just a dream--it was a nightmare!! Funny how our day time sometimes invades our sleep, At least now all is well and you probably appreciate your sewing room, stash, etc. problems and all.

Go into your sewing room and SMILE...it's still there...perhaps this is a sign that you need to pay more attention to what you have and put it to good use...then go back out and buy, buy, buy to replenish!

You know the funny thing is I went to both my favorite fabric stores on Thursday and managed to walk out with just 1 (50% off) fabric. Thought I did real good and now you all tell me to go buy more, what's a girl to do lol

I agree, add to your stash. But first be sure that your machines are not just turned off but unplugged when you shut them down. I also have mine on a battery back-up in case of a power outage or lightening. Can't be too careful with my babies. Now go get some sleep, you need it.

hi michelle, this is what i think it is. YOUR HOUSE IS TELLING IS TRYING TO TELL YOU THAT YOU HAVE BEEN IGNORING IT.now it is getting back at you. give your house a BIG HUG and tell it you are sorry. tell the stash and your machine to go stand in the corner. have fun. LOL.

Make sure all electric points are turned off at the wall & nothing left in the room to catch fire (pressure cans explode & catch fire so release some pressure from them) Have a good talk to your fabric & tidy to let them know that you love them & what good they will be doing. Check you heater outlet in your sewing room, Do the vents have fluff in them? is there any cotton, fluff or material too close to the vents. It is NEVER too cold to check your house. Keep safe.

LOL, I promised myself at the beginning of the year that I had to use up some of what I have (way to much fabric) but it is tempting,
