Results of the surgery are wonderful! My right eye now has -0,2 dioptrine, instead of the -30 before the surgery! Everything is clear, bright and colorful, it's amazing!

Never knew the building behind our apartment had a red roof, always thought it was red!
The 2nd eye surgery will be on March 19th and after that (and the next surgery to correct the remaining double vision) the only thing I'll need are reading glasses.
Thanks so much for your thoughts, prayers and kind words. Deeply apreciate them so much.

Congratulations! fantastic news. I had both of my eyes done two years ago and the colors were fantastic. My insurance would not pay until my eyes were so bad I could not see across the room with glasses. I did have my eyes build up some scar tissue around my incision so that I have an astigmatism in both eyes but it is easily corrected with glasses and I am so fortunate to be able to see! So very happy for you! Hugs, Barba

That is an amazing improvement. You must be more than anxious to have the other two surgeries. Now you can see things as they were meant to be seen.

Know the feeling Christie - I had my right eye done in August and found the sky was so much bluer with my left eye closed - with my right eye closed everything was yellow ...December came and I had my right eye done - now everything is so much brighter and I have to say I was very surprised to find my hair is actually quite white and here I thought I was a blond. LOL ....Had my eyes checked and only need glasses for reading (at 78 what the heck) and my distance is now 20-20 as compared to 20-70 last year at this time....Hugs and good luck with the next one. Christie, I am so very happy you are seeing well, and in more vivid colors now! My adult Downs Syndrone daughter had genetic cataracts removed a few years back. Her optometrist told me he would let me be the decision maker, as to when she needed the surgery, so as to judging how well she was seeing. When she started sitting closer to the tv and holding books near her face, I told him it was time. I will never forget getting tears in my eyes, after the bandage was removed from her eye, and on the way home from the dr's office, she exclaimed, "Oh, mama, the colors are so pretty"! It made me wonder how long she may have been seeing in "black and white", and perhaps should have the surgery sooner! I quit kicking myself, and dwelt on gratitude for her improved vision! Good vision is a precious blessing! Hope yours continues to improve!! Congratulations!
Hugs, Angel

I'm so pleased for you. God be praised, but hey, the tougher one is we would have to praise him if you didn't get this fantastic result. Joy to you.
