Beautiful! I've learned something today...I didn't know to never put green and blue together. Yikes, what if a person has blue eyes and can't wear green or green/hazel eyes and can't wear blue? LOL
I know I'm being silly

Anywho you did a great job and I sure love the trims and stitches your using. The little snowman makes me smile, too!

It sound like either we all had the same mother or we're just old. I tell the same thing to my gd.. But all sayings aside the colours acually compliment each other...hugs marian

Yes I too grew up with this saying "Blue & green should never be seen without a colour between them" I used to ask everyone then why did God make the Sky blue & tree leaves Green & was told that God knew what shade of blue & green to use.& that if I stood in the right place I would see that there was another colour between them. ( a whitish hase)

I think very cute all. Love the colorful snowmans.
When I walk out in spring I see sky blue and green grass and the betweens. Now that is beyond cute love warm yellow sunny days..... blue sky not winter federal gray, green grass not brown golden dry stuff. Can you tell my cabin fever gets going more and more each day.

Yes, I remember that "Blue and green should not be seen, without a colour in between" or something along those lines. I personally have always worn them together! I love them both! Cute snowman by the way. Love and blessings Chris

I like the blue one on the green topper. Perhaps it makes a difference in the choice of shade of the colors, as to whether or not it looks good. I like the lace. I know what you mean about not combining certain colors years ago. I got counted off in 4-H for combining organdy and cotton fabric in a dress. Now-a-days------, everything goes, and we love it. Welllllllll, except for the frayed and torn jeans.

yes i to have hard time with those Jean .I went shopping with my son who's 38 and i told him i wouldn't go unless he wore proper jeans lol .Since then hes having me put on fancy patch lol Kids ah!!

wendymay60 by wendymay60 06 Feb 2013

years ago a teenager came to stay with me for awhile & I couldn't help noticing that her jeans were too long & torn to threads so after I washed them I cut off the ragged ends & turned them up, The horror on her face & she wouldn't wear them. One day she saw me stitching a border design & said you couldn't sew that on jeans so when she went to school I sewd the design on her jeans then washed them. When she came home I asked her to bring the dry clothes in off the line so I could keep an eye on the tea. The scream had me running & colliding halfway out the door to a big bear hug, kisses & about 20 thankyous. We spent the evening looking at designs then I was presented with 3 pr of jeans & asked if I could put designs on them so we made a bargain she did housework while I sewd. It still brings me joy when I think of it. She went home after 6 months with a lot of designs on her clothing & a pair of Towels for her parents
