I am making this quilt for one of my daughters who is expecting a boy. My SIL is a minister so I think this will be appropriate. I am making the quilt the way michelle showed us with not cutting out the blocks until they are all stitched out. I couldn't have done it without the help of Kim (dragonflyer) and Miss Vicki (basketkase). Kim digitized the verses I sent her and Miss Vicki allowed her to adjust the cross frame to fit. The verses are 5x5. Dragonflyer (Kim) will post the 14 verses in DBC as she has a chance. Thank you! Thank you!

The angels are from a variety of places, but the two up close ones are from AmazingEmbroidery.com and EmbroideryDesigns.name. I couldn't find the link for embroiderydesigns.name so it may not be up anymore.

Love everything about this project, esp the verse choices.
Have often wondered about emb several designs on a fabric before cutting them apart.. It looks like you marked your area to emb in as a placement guide, is that correct? Did you hoop each or just hoop the stabilizer? Hope you or the ones who helped you figure this out will share. Thank you for sharing your project with us.

Hopefully Michelle will add more for all of you. Yes, I did mark each block for cut lines, then came back and marked each block for placement. I used the spray adhesive for the stabilizer and then hooped each block. This saved on the amount of stabilizer I needed to use. The stabilizer for the angels is actually smaller then the size of the blocks - just a little larger then the size of each individual design. Goodluck on your attempt.

I would like to know how the quilt is made the way you are saying, wait until all done then cut the blocks. Please let me know. Thanks

Yes, that is what I understand - I hope that is correct as that is what I am doing. It should work as if I had cut them first that is the size I would have cut them to and then I would have had problems getting them to stay in the hoop.

The blocks are drawn out as a 6 x 6 so I am hoping they will sew out as a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. I am just learning. So I have asked many many questions along the way too. I'll let you know if I think I cut it too close, but dI;m hoping not.
