Will the magnetic strips interfere with our machines if you get it too close to the computer parts?

Yes. It seems like a good idea -- however, you should keep all magnets away from all computer components. Even magnets on the outside of a computer tower (desktop) can interfere with normal operations and data.
It is also possible that the bobbins will become magnetic themselves. Even in a old mechanical machine that could cause problems.

my metal bobbins are for regular phaff sewing machine. I have it on its sewing table.

Rescuer, that was my first thought, as I have had pins that were in one of those "catch" dishes become magnetized over time.

I have had my scissors that stay next to my machine become magnetized. Pins started sticking to them. Had to buy a de-magnetizer and run them over it from time to time.

If it is strong enough magnetic could also hold scissors.
