I am glad you are getting some relief from the heat. I think I can make anything into an excuse to stitch the day away. Enjoy stitching.
Heather your comments make me laugh. I remember many many years ago a young Swiss girl asking what the comment raining cats and dogs meant. Thinking of the posting about abbreviations here and translations via Google etc there must be a number of confused Cuties wondering just what you mean. Its stopped raining like cats and dogs here in my bit of the world. On the ground we have much standing water and in some places its difficult to work out what should be there and what is flooding. Happy sewing and sorry while putting this in I have been trying to come up with some suitable phrases to add...but I have just been interrupted by the 'dog and bone'.
Here is a couple for you,....Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves.... Too late to shut the gate after the horse has bolted.....
Dear Heather,
We have brilliant sunshine down here in Newcastle. It's forecast for rain for the next week though - so, it must be coming down from Queensland where you are. Love Chris
