what is a quick & easy gift to bring to a friend who is recovering from minor surgery?

I was thinkiing along the same lines,maybe one of the little snap top bags with some chocolate iiiiiiiiiiiiiin it if her diet allows, otherwise a small tube of a nice hand cream & maybe lip balm.

What about a pretty zippered bag or an eyeglass case? After major surgery many years ago I received many gifts of flowers, books etc, but the gift I remember and still use is a zippered jewelry case.
