I decided I needed a new wallhanging for Spring. I wanted something bright and cheery. This is what I am working on. I still have to quilt it and add the binding which will be dark blue. The leaves are appliqued on tear away stabilizer and I will add a flower to them for a 3-D effect. The birds are appliques from Designs by Juju. Hugs, Susan

Love it. I wondered about doing applique, or even stitch out, on tear away. I can see where that will hold up fine for a wall hanging. But I have done some paper doll clothes on tear away before I knew to put something else in there. Think they will hold up for play?

When I did the leaves I hooped the tear away and did my placement stitch. Then I pla ed fabric on the top side of the hoop and on the uder side of the hoop. I did the tack down stitch and trimmed the fabric on top and bottom side. So it is pretty sturdy. Hugs, Susan
