and this is my thread area, if you have the space this is a great way to display and work with your threads, you may not require this much space at the moment but you will and it is so important to have them easily accessible.
good luck

Unfortunately I do not have a sewing room but I do have my own sitting room with my computer, television and a corner which is my "sewing room". It is a hideous cabinet which all folds away but oh so convenient and useful. I keep my materials and extra threads in a cupboard in my spare bedroom.
DH made them for me. The threads at the back of the cupboard are just ordinary cotton threads.
Found it! Lots of Cutie's rooms, mine's in there too. Our work spaces, sewing rooms, hideouts, whatever you want to call them.
Lots of neat ideals, this will be fun and a lot of work putting it all together. THANKS FOR ALL YOU WORK TO FIND THEM.
A few Cutie work spaces.
I'm Googling and trying to find the post where a bunch of Cuties showed pictures of their sewing rooms. I haven't found it yet but I found this treasure! A whole bunch of sewing rooms!
Thank you sewmom for all you findings I should get a lot of ideals from all of these.
Awesome room.
Castelyn's room a few years ago.
Great ideas and some not too practical and some very pretty.
Sorry, I don't have any pictures of my sewing room -- yet -- but I can tell you I sit inside almost a full square. I have a large office mat on the floor and a very comfy office chair with adjustable arm rests. My ironing board and cutting area is in another room so that I get up to stretch. I can start an embroidery design, then I just roll and turn around to serge or quilt on another project while I wait to change threads. I have clear enclosed containers for threads and all other sewing needs. It makes everything easier to find/see and it keeps it all (including the threads) dust free.
