~Lillian's On the Go Bag~

A few years back we were so excited over the thought of a girl grand child. Our son and his wife opted for the test, yet after the first ultrasound, they already knew. So what was a new grandmother to do before the wonderful birth?

Why create and make oodles of bibs, kozy gowns, blankets, spit cloths and bags. This was a theme bag with the same color thought in mind. Changing pad included and with passy hooks tucked inside.

Love how all the spit cloths turned out.. and I puchased a dozen white cotton diapers to make them. You can still see the fade line on the cloth as I used it to mark the design. Had to snap the shot prior to wrapping the gift.

You'll see the other bibs and cute ideas I had so much fun doing. From the bassinet to the crib bedding and curtains and quilts galore.. my daughter inlaw finally asked that I don't make anything for some time. That was four years ago.. too bad I didn't listen to her. (wink wink)

Enjoy.

How beautiful everything is wow :)
I'll also have to do the first gifts for my granddaughter. She will be born in July. I´m working in a company during the week but weekends do not do anything else as work for my GD.
Is a wonderfull feeling to know that we will have soon a little baby at home, isn´t it?

Good Morning.. I tried the smaller at first and that is for a newborn, then I opted to the 8x8 hoop for babylock and then went to the 8x12 (which is the largest so far on babylock)

I did extend the largest bib file to fit the 8x12. I soo loved how they turned out. And they make great baby shower gifts too!!

Everything is so very elegant looking. I love the scalloped bibs, what kind of fabric did you use on them?

actually the top was duck cloth, perfect for everyday wash and wear and the backing was any prewashed cotton scrap that I had. The diapers were purchased at target or wamart in a 12 pack. I tell you your bag of scraps comes in pretty handy with small projects.

Just the bib and you add the design of choice?

CottonPeony by CottonPeony 06 Mar 2013

yes, for many feeding or gatherings. Great fun in doing each bib differently.
