Life just took an ugly twist. Yesterday pick pockets stole Doran's wallet. He took it out of his inside jacket pocket, and put it in his outside jacket pocket while he paid for hamburgers at McDs. Within seconds two thieves grabbed it and were gone. He didn't even know it had happened until he viewed the video from McDs. We had just gotten paid. And, they got the cards, US and China. Thank goodness they did not get the passports. We're scrambling to cancel cards. I'm a little sick at heart

My DH had his man bag stolen from our Library, with his life in it. Living in South Africa I am just relieved he was not hurt. I am so sorry that this also happened to you. I am afraid that it is a world wide thing. Sarah.

so sorry for this incident. But it is an epidemic, about half an hour ago, I heard my dogs, barking, at first did not pay too much attention to them, but my Chihuahua has an unusual barking when he does not know the person, I look trough the window and there was a man in my next neighbor yard, I kept looking at him ( he did not see me) I saw him leaving his place, some minutes passed when I heard the barking again the same man, closer to my window, I screamed and he left, now I am very worry, the nights here are very dark pitch black!!! Asking God and my angel to be close to me, these are not easy times it is happening every where in the world.

Cards are canceled and all will be well. Thanks for your concern. I just wish I could had given the amount they stole to a worthwhile cause, rather than to thievery.

So sorry this has happened to you, Twee! It really has to make one feel sick and physically violated to go through something like this! It is sad, but a fact, that in todays society, one has to be on guard constantly to protect self and personal property! Too many that would rather steal, than work! Hope all is back to normal for you soon!
Hugs, Angel

Sorry about your loss..Good luck getting everything cancelled, etc. Some times the companies don't hold you responsible for charges made if you reported them stolen. Hope this is the case for you.Don't forget about your medical cards, any special ID cards and so on.Go through your purse and double check if you have any he might have forgotten. I am reminding you out of our own past experience.

That is where he had it, but took it out to pay, and temporarily put it in his side pocket until he got to the table with our food, but they had it and it was gone in seconds. Take the time and put it where it belongs the first time, And, don't carry more than the essentials. We've learned a hard lesson.

In China they think all westerners are rich.

That is terrible! I am so sorry because it can be so difficult getting things straightened out. I am so glad they didn't get the passports and that there were no injuries. I am also grateful not everyone in this world would steal.
Hugs

Yes, this can be very upsetting. Once they stole our wallet in a bus when we were in Spain, on holiday. Lucky we left our pasports at the hotel and we could block our cards immediatelly. But it is quite a hasle isn't it ?
