love my Bernina, it is nothing fancy, but a work horse. I forget the number, and It is home and I'm in China sorry. It is about 5 years old
It wasn't to me, at least right now. As my up close vision gets worse over the years I'll most likely reconsider. LOL I find the threading on my 1034D to be incredibly easy, especially compared to my old Pfaff. It's a nice, inexpensive machine that does everything I need it to.
ABSOLUTELY! I wish my 25 year old serger would go to serger heaven so I could upgrade...but it is still going strong...oh well...
I have the evolve ,a lovely overlocker.I just wish the needles threaded themselves at times especially in the hot weather when fingers are hot & sticky. This machine does cover stitch as well.Get a demo to see what else it can do besides overlocking & cover stitch. There is a DVD which shows everything the evolve does, you might be able to borrow it or watch it at the shop.
a friend has one and it is worth every penny. I'm trying to save for one!
I have the babyloc -Imagine.........I don't do anything special with it though-just the normal edge stitching or finishing seams, but always runs very good for me!
Yes, it is worth every penny. I have had a Babylock serger (Evolve) for over 6 years and love it. It is sooo easy and quick to thread and a workhorse. But test stitch every serger at the dealer(s) near you to get one that you like and fits your budget. BTW, I won't trade mine in even for the Evolution.
I just looked at that serger too. I was wondering the same thing. Hope someone can give us some info. Joyce
