I have no words, it´s realy great. Good work , congrats and a big big hug
What a great job you did. The quilt looks beautiful.
Adding the rickrack to the border is a good idea that I will retain.
Thanks for sharing.
I sew the binding from the back to the front, so as I finish the binding I am putting the rickrack on at the same time.. works great. same as I do my pot holders and it is easy to make miter corners..
LOVE the quilt - great job! My sister-in-law asked me to make a quilt/bed spread for their California King sized bed and I'm intimidated by the size. It will be as big as a pool cover by the time I'm finished. hehe
they are big... but there are lots of quilting books with easy designs. and really this was super easy.. or course it is sent out to be quilted..
What great use of your scraps!! Seems to me that my pile too is like bunnies.. it grows over night with me knowing. Great quilt my dear, you did great work.
Ok, I just read some of the comments ... we've all got bunnies tucked away in our closets!
Warm hugs,
Cotton Peony
You give me a good reason (or excuse?) to save my scraps and stockpiling them *lol* Your quilt looks beautiful with all the colors and the blue to keep it all together.
It is beautifully made. All the quilt blocks show so well against the blue.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT KATHY! Great job on the quilt and I think that all of our scraps have become like hybrids and are breeding like rabbits! Well, that's my take on it anyway! he he he! Love Chris
Hihihi so funny Chris. Still giggeling...
(by the way: We have 2 rabbits since 4 weeks but he is neutered ;o)
this is very pretty and looks like your quilter did a beautiful job,too
ps.I think the scraps breed at night!!
Lovely and I love love love the rickrack on the edge. I remember when rickrack was what our Mom's put on the end of our pants when we grew too tall for them! Beautiful quilt!
I think this is terrific BUT I do have the very same problem sew I'm afraid I can't tell you why either? Husg Loralye
I have given away so many boxes of scraps.. with 11 grandkids and 8 of them girls , there is a lot of girly fabric in this quilt
love the colours and the scrapy look..the blue used in the sashing and edging is beautiful..adding the ric rac to the border is a lovely touch might have to borrow that idea..thanks for sharing marian
the blue fabric was purchased ages ago and I was going to make a shirt for the Hubby, it is a coral reef fabric.. but I used it here.. he lost out to a quilt..
I think scraps multiply at night. I have the same thing. Working on a 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" 29 sq by 39 sq Your quilt is beautiful Like the rick and the blue. Maybe I will try after I finish the Irish Chain using 2" x 2" blocks. Thank you for sharing
make sure you share the Irish Chain when you are done.. I would love to see it..
On Irish Chain--I have one block done only need to cut 1500 more squares from scraps. Total of over 2100sq May be done in six months. I found another box of scraps today. More fun Will share when done
