Found the little addon. It was from ebbooks program I downloaded. Now have taken all the files off my computer.

This has happened to hubby a couple of times. It's attached to a free program you've downloaded. It's a little time to get rid of but no harm is usually done. Just a pain in the butt to remove.
Do not click the links. What anti-virus program do you use? Your computer needs to be scanned. Use an online scanner (if your computer will allow you to) Try Eset online free scanner or Trendmicro online free scanner. Do not download the free trial just use the free online scanners. They both will download just enough files to enable the scan. Do NOT do any banking or purchasing on your computer until it is clean.
Send me a PM if you need more help.
Thanks for the warning. I hope you fond out what is going on with your computer quickly and there is no problem.
Helen this sounds very strange. Maybe you get a virus or a special program from a webpage which is now making these "hot links"? Just wondering that your antivirus does not show this to you?
Hope you can get rid of it before it make some damage on your computer...
Greetings, Bettina
i've had this happen before, (not always cuties) when you visit another site through link and try to click on a download it throws you to an add for something else. i usually just forget about the download and go to somewhere else BUT must say not happened for long time
I looked at the same post and Easter Candle is not in blue. Perhaps you have a setting in your computer that makes hot links for things you can find on the internet. So if you click on Easter Candle you will get it's definition or candles you can buy or something like that.
What happens if you hover your mouse over the blue hot link?
That post is edited now. Does it still have blue links for you?

Your post has 'your computer' and 'hover' blue and underlined. Dont know what it is.

When I hover the cursor over the blue link an ad pops up for competitions and free software.
Sometimes the anitvirus will say it's not safe to use a hot link because it can't help you catch the virus before you go there. But I could be totally wrong. Does your virus software give more information?
