Hi Sue.......I had no idea you were from UK. I am from Essex and often go to the NEC, although quite pleased I didn't this weekend (The thought of getting stuck there and not being able to get home !!!! What a thought !!!!) Glad to hear you all had a good time. I am booked to come up in August......Might see you all there..... Joy x
normally we meet up on the friday so contact us closer to the date and see what can be fixed up so that we can all have a chat.....annie
how strange is life? I only decided to go on friday on the spur of the moment, and who were the first persons i saw when Stan and i entered the hall but Sue and Scotty, Sue told me that Caroline was coming and they had arranged to meet up at 12.30 This made a great day out just fantastic. I didn't buy much but i did treat myself to some friendly plastic and a small owl pattern.
I just looked out the window to see a lot of snow outside and the news reports that the M42 is closed due to an accident so i am even more pleased i decided to go yesterday and not today as i think traveling would not be good.
Sue purchased some lovely fabric that had th map of the world on it and when i asked what she was going to do with it she came out with those ll too familiar words
" I have no idea but i just liked it"
Oh well Sue. it will come in for something if it no good for anything else .
That is the excuse i use for those on the spot items and one day i am sure will find just the project for all of my stash under the bed.
Think its also about time i raised the bed up another few inches and put one more rung on the ladder so i can get onto it.
Thanks for a wonderful day out ladies it was such a nice surprise.
annie in the uk
The mental image of your bed made me chortle! I bought lots of stuff which is not yet ear marked but it will be so much fun in the next few weeks. I haven't even unpacked my bag yet!
Word of caution on the friendly plastic. Avoid putting it in the dryer and touching an iron to it. One of my kids left a piece in the pocket and it made a melted mess on a t-shirt and my sister touched and iron to a broach she had pinned on a garment.
yep can imagine it would be a bit messy after all that heat.thanks for the heads up on that
Looks like so much fun to be with other cuties for the afternoon.
sew nice to see cuties having a nice time on the otherside of the world.

Sue thanks for sharing with us all. Glad you ladies had a lovely time. Hugs Yvonne
So great to see you ladies together. Another photo for my 'Cutie' album.
Thanks Sue,Scottie and Eggieannie for a great chat. I have just got home from the show which as ever was well worth the effort of getting to. Considering the snow travel was fine and the train was on time and even better was just the one each way. My husband came too and when I met him after I had wandered round with Sue and Scottie was clutching a deer antler. He was delighted with his purchase and I made sure I kept out of the way of it as we walked through the crowds to the station. Girls thanks for a great time
That antler was rather alarming! Glad you got it home safely. We had a reasonable journey although the MI was horrible with snow, fog and spray.
Looks like a great time! What fun you could enjoy it together!
I can't wait to see what new ideas you will turn into designs from such a wonderful day!
Good to hear that you ladies had an enjoyable day. Now, I hope that you didn't spend too much money!!
