You are not the only one Jerrilyn. Some years ago when I was working, I was in a meeting with overseas clients. I looked down at my shoes and to my horror I was wearing one black shoe and one navy shoe. They were from the same store, identical shoes but different colours. The extraordinary thing was is that no one noticed!!!!!
Hey......looks good to me.......you were setting a fashion trend!! Thanks for the laugh, Jerri.........
well I understand that '80s styles are back so you should have fit right in with the youngsters.
in case you're not old enough to remember, we would wear a red shoe on one foot and a yellow on the other foot and they would be the same style
Fabulous I love it. I think I am more impressed with the fact you actually go to the gym...great going my friend.
Well, that's nothing compared to what my friend did when we both worked in London over 50 years ago. She arrived at the office in a state, she had forgotten to put her knickers on, and what's more, she went upstairs on the bus !!!
When I was working, i went to work in high heels, one navy blue and the other black. I lived to far away to go home and change so I just took all the teasing all day long. Hugs, Mary
At least you only went to the gym. I drove all the way from Florida to Virginia (over 1000 miles) with one navy blue clog and the other one black. I got dressed at 3am, drove for 18 hours straight and didn't even realize my mistake until I tried to get dressed the morning after I arrived and had no matching shoes!
LOL! I could do that. You are officially a member of the "only human" club
I would have just acted like it was intentional, because EVERYTHING is
STYLISH these days!! LOL You probably started a new fad!!
Hugs, Angel
I bet no one looked at your feet but you! HEHE funny.... Hey at least you got to the gym. Suzanne
Lucky you it was the gym. My husband once went to the office with a brown and a black shoe. He is colourblind but they were quite different.
Funny. Not so in your line of vision thou. I went to my sewing class with my shirt inside out. My response when told was " thats cause the rightside was dirty" They weren't sure how to take that answer. Needless to say i did put it on the right way to make them happy "))
LOL! I wonder if they missed their mates on their trip to the gym? haha! funny...
You're so funny! Hey, the young girls are doing this with socks, they even sell purposely mis-matched sets of 3 color coordinated socks, one with hearts, one stripes, one stars, something like that so you can be hip and cool without working too hard at it. You just took it a, uh, "step" further, added shoes. You're starting the rest of the fashion trend! Oh, my, who said these were "the golden years"? At least you remembered to go to the gym, hee hee hee! I'm going to giggle on this for quite a while, hugs, Marji
hmmmmm I may go look for some of those socks....at least it would detract from my misstep! ;)
Your just setting a new trend, is what I would have said. I am sure no one else even noticed.
Hugs Jerri
You are hilarious to show us! Amazing that they must feel the same. Above all, good for you for getting to the gym! Thanks for sharing your laugh. I haven't done shoes this way, yet, but I have done earrings....Ha!
My former boss, a multi-millionaire, came to work in a pair of expensive Italian gentlemen's shoes - one black and one brown. Even though he only lived 5 minutes away, he refused to go home and redress. When people asked him, Mr. T. did you realize you have on a black shoe and a brown shoe, he answered yes, and I like them so much, I have another pair just like them at home!
I was tempted to post a blonde joke in response but then I noticed that you are a Moderator...................and I wouldn't be wise to upset a Moderator, now would it? Smirk
I think we all did that...my GD's get a kick about telling when Gma came over with 2different color and sytle of Berkinstock sandles on....oh well, your choice was at least better than mine...I had on a red sandle, and a brown one.
These two pairs are banned from sitting beside each other in the closet from now on.
Awesome!
I can't take the chance to do what you did -- non of my shoes look anything like any other pairs. ;)
You can always claim to be a part of a scientific study and you will put a tally mark on "notice" and one on "says something (to you) about it" --- if they don't believe you -- "one tally mark for doesn't believe study is real" ...OR you were testing the shoes for comfort and durability. ;)
Brilliant, how long did it take before you spotted them?
When a couple of the younger ladies started giggling and pointing.....I noticed it right away, then. It was good fun.
