I bought this gorgeous fabric at the Sewing For Pleasure show last week (egged on by my companions.) It is a thick woollen base and the swirls are yarns which have been felted in. It was very tricky to sew, particularly sewing the collar on through several thicknesses.

I think we still have some winter to come yet, so I will be able to wear it!

I have one as well, but I haven't produced anything worth showing yet! (I bought it at the same time as my embroidery machine.)

The main thing I use it for is to fuse water soluable film such as Vilene together to make bigger pieces. It works great for that!

Now that is an idea worth remembering!

What irresistable fabric! And you actually cut it and made a coat! I would have just kept the fabric for petting, hee hee hee. I envy your visit to the show--nothing of that calibre here (USA, Northwest PA). Well done, would love to see it in person. Hugs, Marji
