A FSL Bookmark more suitable to the smaller book, I think. 12.5 cms.(5 inches) minus tassel. Stitching the butterfly did cause hassle by thread breaking - it is quite a dense design. I made the bookmark tassel by threading small silver coloured beads onto a 'silverknit' knitting medium (can't call it wool, because it isn't).

Found your bookmark thru a google search, must have missed it fist time. It's lovely! Don't you just hate thread breakages, but it does not show. In fact it looks very beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful elenu..I am doing one of the Little Black Tee FSL Designs, The Penelope, a very long job, was having problems with thread breaking. I am trying Floriani Wet'N Gone for the stabilizer, 80/12 needle and R-A Poly Thread. Bobbin thread is Pacesetter Poly. What are you using ? *4U

I used Sulky Ultra Solvy stabiliser Sqdancer, a new 80/12 needle, Madeira rayon 40 thread with Starlite 120 poly bobbin thread. The breakages were, mainly, on the butterfly body which is very dense, thankfully not too big an area!

elenu by elenu 31 May 2008

I am not familiar with the design you mention Sqdancer but I hope you have success with it.

This is very very beautiful, not worried about the beads the rest is so beautiful it took my breath away whenthe page opened and I could see it better. I think if the thread is going to break i might try industrial strength cotton. Where did you get this design from.

Ace points design set FSL bookmarks from Secrets of Embroidery Sanjoy. Majority of thread break during stitching of Butterfly body which is the last to stitch.
