Welcome Charlie and I see you have been given some information. I know that Meganne (one of our Moderators) uses EMBIRD and loves it. I would write a PM (up the top of the page is a tab called INBOX) to our Digitisers. You can find quite a few of them in the DBC section (Designs by Cuties). If you type in the person's avatar name and then write what you want in the subject box you will get an answer - use lower case only. Because of all the different time zones there is always someone on here who should be able to help you.
On the subject of things to make - how about jump suits for toddlers, hats, anything for babies usually sell well. At one of our markets here there are these gorgeous chenille pants and each leg is a different colour. Shorts are also made in them. Simple little dresses with dainty embroidery designs. I also love the baby pants that cover their nappies/diapers. You can put lots of animal designs on them etc. I also love glass cases, cosmetic cases etc. etc. etc. Good luck with it all. Love and blessings Chris, Newcastle, Australia.
hi chris thank you for all the information , i cant actually sew hehe, i just embroider basically on anything i can, but maybe i could learn to :) thank you once again xx
Charlie, I don't want to sew either. You're looking for "blanks" at inepensive price. Bookbags, napkins (white, beige, Christmas colors), kitchen towels, bibs, onesies, baby & children's white undershirts (make great looking soft t shirts embroidered), stretchy bookcovers, solid color blouses, in the hoop key fobs, winter scarves, baby washcoths, lightweight baby blankets. Have fun!
When at the markets,I always have a peek at the embroidery stands, they don't seem to be doing a lot of in the hoop small bags, potholders, tissue cases. Maybe give some a go,useing pretty fabric. hope this helps cheers
Hi, PE Basic is just to transfer designs. You can also print if you want to create a catalog, although there is a better way to do that. There is another post talking about software, Good Luck and Happy Stitchin!
hi yes thats wht ive had, just looked at it and not very good lol, so i really need to buy something, looking at the embird basic at the mo and looks good so far :) thank you xx
Charlie has not put but she is a UK Cutie so buying from out of the UK will not be worth it. I have to say Charlie I have bought tea towels, face cloths, towels from Primark and they sell very reasonably priced dressing gowns etc. Do get to play with your PE basic and see what it does. Digitising takes for ever to get to grips with and maybe you already own what you need
thank you hun,
yes im a u.k cutie ( i like saying that lol)
i have been buying my towels from home bargains and to be fair there cheapish and wash really well :) , my dad only give me the pe basic this evening as he forgot he had it as the bought a embroidery machine a few months ago but they dont use it as much as me :) xx
