Thank you for your honesty and this policy - we should adhere to the rules - that is understandable. Have a lovely day.
I'm glad we can go on with crafty-stuff and push this back to top :o)
Tho I never voiced a complaint or opinion, I did not think the jokes were appropriate for this forum--and I am so glad to see that they will be gone. I want to be reading hints, suggestions, experiences, information related to our crafts/hobbies.
I remember seeing somewhere, an embroidered badge the moderators should pin to their shirts--"Don't yell at me! I'm a VOLUNTEER"
Sure fits the 'bill' in this case, huh?
So funny: In my imagination I see Megannes Betty-Boop-avatar with that volunteer-badge... ;o)
hahahahahaa! I love it! But just where would Betty pin it? :-)
I'll have to digitise it though, for sure.
I enjoyed reading all the jokes but I have to agree this is a embroidery site and it should be used for that purpose. Juanita
I must say I am pleased. I myself am not easily offended, after 20+ years as a psychiatric nurse you would hope not. I did however find some of the jokes inappropriate and all of them irrelevant. It started to get to hard to be bothered reading through the posts.
A huge 'thank you' from me. They were literally becoming beyond a joke! Thank you Meganne and other moderators for what you do for the site. Sarah.
Oh gosh you just took all the fun out of the whole message when you said we couldn't yell at you. Hahahahahaha. Sorry, I'm warped. I understand exactly why the jokes must go, I did enjoy them but I understand the time, effort and complaints. Complaints? Good grief. Carry on ladies, you are doing a great job. Love this site.
hahahahahahaha!
Now see.....
This kind of humour is way more fun than "tired old, done to death, seen it a hundred times", jokes.
Thanks Meg-I like a joke as much as the next guy, but I have to say it has gotten to be almost like a competition to see who can submit the most "joke of the day" entries-sadly some seem to do it for "flowers" sake. ~linda~
Thanks so much!! You are right it is a crafting site and embroidery is our game. There are plenty of other sites that would welcome their jokes. Hugs, Mary
Jokes are good for the soul......what a same we can't read them anymore....I loved coming here and reading them every morning......they let me smile.
Send them to each other in PM's, or in e-mails, or there are plenty of joke sites out there. You can read jokes almost anywhere, you just have to make a bit of effort. This is an embroidery and crafting site, so we need to stick with that. Thanks for understanding.
Littleklothz if you share your email address via private message with you Cute friends, I'm sure they will be glad to send their jokes to you. Meganne
Abiding by the company/home owners/etc. rules and regulations is ALWAYS the best policy...FIESTA ANYHOW ;D *2U
Thank you so much Miss V. and to the Moderators as well, for all the time and patience put in, I do appreciate it, hugs S*
Thanks to all involved in handling this issue!!
Your moderators are almost too afraid to open their PM's because of all the complaints we have received about jokes.
It's time we got back to our conversations and sharing our craft like we used to.
We still have all our natural comedians to make us laugh with their comments on posts, don't you agree?
I am sorry to see you ladies who work so hard to make this site run smoothly being afraid to open your e-mails because of this issue of all things. I hope things clear up and settle down for you all. Thank you for all you do to keep Ms. V's site running smoothly!
Hugs
Diane
Thank you, Thank you. It was becoming to much to wade through. Though I too love a joke, now and then
I appreciate the banning, but too bad the moderators don't have a sense of humor. I still love Cuties...................
Maleah, Moderators enjoy a joke as well as anyone, but that is not the issue here!
This is, first and foremost, a FAMILY crafting site and the constant complaints about offensive, crude, rude and tasteless jokes had become very time consuming for your moderators, whose time is much better spent helping members, rather than acting as censors.
Meganne
There is a difference between humour and bad taste and the majority of members did not like what was going on.
Good decision to stop the posting.
Thanks Veronika, Jerrilyn, Martine, Marji and Meg for letting us know. Love and blessings Chris
