May 8, 2013 -- So dainty! I'm sure these will become heirlooms.
Such beautiful shoes and just perfect for a precious little one! I am happy to hear that your niece is doing well.
Oh my gosh!! Those are darling. You did an awesome job.
The most precious and beautiful booties I have seen....great job constructing these, Jussy!
FYI Cuties
I was recently contacted by a fellow Cutie asking for any tips on constructing these FSL Baby shoes. And thought I would share here, (Just in case there are any other Cuties wanting to know the same :)
I stitched the shoe bit first, then the sole. Whilst the sole is still on your hoop and WSS I hand-stitched the shoe bit on. Then stood them in a bowl of warm water. Found this much easier then doing the seperate pieces and then trying to stitch them together on the machine. I hope I have explained well enough for you to succeed.
Best Wishes Jussy :)
love the shoes and glad to here that your neice is home ,will keep her in my prayers
Jussyc,
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for pointing this out. I'm in the midst of making the christening gown for my niece and her husband's daughter and they is perfect to include with the gown. What great timing you have! All Cuties are so wonderful and soooo helpful! All the best, Sandra
Sandra you are very welcome. I think they would be perfect too for your nieces little one. They look stunning when completed. I look forward to seeing your's in "Projects" very soon. Cuties is so the BEST, Thank you :)
Apr 9, 2013 -- These are beautiful and I'm sure they will be cherished as much as the new baby.
They are dainty and the mother will cherish them and all the time it took to fashion them. How much does your niece weigh now? The family must be over the moon to finally have her home. with them.
We certainly have had a journey with our little lady. 3lb born but most was fluid and had to be drained away. She came through 2 pacemaker ops and has just hit over 7lbs. We are all delighted to have her home. Thank you :) Hugs
You did a great job these lace shoes are adorable.
You did a lovely pair of shoes for a very special baby.
Very nice shoes, for a very nice special baby. I bet she will look great with them
For Your Information:
I just wanted to add this update to my post to let you all know that the seam you see on my photo's,(wont appear on yours) is because I split the 5x7 design to use on my 4x4 Embroidery Machine using my larger 4x6&3/4 hoop. I call it Clicky Uppy & Downny keep embroidering method :D.
I tried the 4x4 design and would recommend this size for dolls or ornaments. The 5x7 was too large for my niece so I re-sized to 4x6&3/4 hoop and split the design so the seam appeared on the back. :)
