WOW FANTASTIC!!! You did a great job, I bought this pattern yesterday, later this weekend maybe, i'm going to attempt it stitch it out too. Love your colors. Thank you for sharing your beautiful birds. Denise.
Thank you. Are you able to do it in the size she sent? I thought I could do it in my largest frame, but I then had to have the split design, and after agonising over it, I managed to complete it. The colours came up on my Brother machine, so I didn't have to worry about matching them.
HI pat111otter, it seems that I have to do splitting version also. My largest hoop is 5x7. my machine is janome350E. I think I'll leave it till the weekend to do, need to go to chiropractor, in rough shape at the moment. I'll post mine when I have it done. :)
This is so beautiful, with lovely range of colours and tones, and will look lovely on your wall once framed.
You are the only one that will know it is off a tad. I think it is beautiful. Kay
ongrats on a job well done. You are one brave woman. Something i would never attempt. Beautiful :) Pauline
Wow! Pat this is truly a masterpiece. I'm so glad you persevered with it. I am like you and would adjust the piece missing as it would annoy me. Well done and I can't wait to see it framed. Love and blessings Chris
Thanks Chris, but all the compliments should go to Kara of KaraKreations, she did all the hard work, I only had to get the machine going, even though there were dozens of thread changes!
Apr 15, 2013 -- I don't think anyone would notice but you (I know I'm the only one that notices those things on my stitchouts). It is lovely and most worthy of framing - thanks for showing to us.
It is gorgeous and a few hand or machine stitches and the hairline separation will disappear.
Just beautiful! I loved it before you did the other hooping - thought it even looked great like that!
Way to go!
Thank you. If I ever do it again, I think I will probably make it two separate designs. Save me a lot of headaches !!!
Wow, I am glad you were able to finish it off. You are very brave!! I must say I cannot see where your boo-boo is - it's just great the way it is! Beautiful work to frame. Well done.
Yes, fix it. Not because it shows, or because it isn't "perfect." But because if you don't, it will sit in the back of your mind and nag at you forever. I'm jealous that you have the inspiration to take on a project that has multiple hoopings and 71 color changes, and have it all come out right. It is a magnificent piece!
When you frame it, you might consider putting it under glass that protects from sun damage...I think they have that now...unless it's that stuff that has a green tint.
Thank you so much. I agree with you about it being on my mind forever if I don't fix it! So it will be done! By the way, going back through the postings, you were bothered with bobbins running out of thread. I used to waste so much thread until a friend told me to tie on the new thread, just one firm knot holds it, and fill the bobbin! I was a bit wary at first, wondered if it would do any damage to the machine, but no, it worked perfectly, and no more wastage, so if no-one has told you this little secret, give it a go!
Congratulations on your stunning piece of work
Thank you Caroline, like my friend in Cambridge says, I'm a glutton for punishment !!!
I just thought those petals were falling....;)
Perhaps they were, and I thought I had slipped up! No, it's too early in the year for petals to drop, I made a boo boo !!!
wow, it came out so beautiful!! lovely colors too. it's gorgeous :)
Thank you, I didn't even have to choose those colours, when I put the card in my machine, they were the colours that came up, so I just got on with it !!
Wow that is beautiful, wonderful job. Spring has sprung.
incredible! I love the shading in the flowers. I can only imagine how many color changes you did. Great job. Sharon
I've just checked, 71 colour changes !!! Some of the colours were used more than once, but that's how many times I was changing the threads, plus the bobbins! Must have lost a bit of weight on my already skinny arms !!
Beautiful, you did a great job on this. Only you will know where your mistake is. Hugs..Carol
Beautiful, and I think you did awesome. It will be a beautiful framed piece hope you share that also. I love birds, flowers, the neat things God made that we can draw, paint, sew but he made.
That's just plumb lovely! I personally wouldn't add a thing to it.
Thank you. I'll wait until my son comes home and see what he says. Both of my boys are clever with their drawings, the eldest is a web site designer, the youngest, who I live with,,does the most complicated drawings as a hobby really, so I value their remarks and help. So, if Gary says "Fill it in Mum" that's what I will do !
Turned out wonderful! It will look beautiful framed.
Just gorgeous!!!, I can't tell the difference. I would never have the patience to sew such a design. It truly is a work of art.
Lovely! and I would never know the difference! Great job, are you ready to do another? I can't say that I have done one so you are rockin in my book!
No, I am not ready to do another! Not yet anyway ! Thank you for your kind comments
Stunning...great job...you should be very proud!
I consider my 'small' mistakes my signature. They make it one-of-a-kind. As my mother would said "A blind man running wouldn't even see it (the mistake)".
It is a beautiful piece!
it is beautiful & alot of stiches for sure but sew worth it!
This is wonderful, would like to see it once framed. :)
Absolutely beautiful! You have done great work!
That's beautiful, love it! In my opinion, you have done a great job.
Hugs, Lidia
Patricia this look great
well done
hugs Sonja who miss you on msn
Hi Sonja, thank you. I had a PC crash and lost a lot, bought a new PC and software, and wouldn't have a clue how to get back on MSN
Wow. Even if I had the time, which I don't, I couldn't take the thread changes. Beautiful.
The thread changes did get on my nerves a bit, but I kept going, and going, and going, and now it's finished.
Gorgeous........you have to be proud of yourself for overcoming the re-hooping obstacle, as this looks terrific!
Thank you very much. I keep looking at it and think "did I really do that?" Hope I am not still asleep and dreaming !!!
Well, I think it looks lovely! You did a great job for your 1st go at splitting a large design. I doubt anyone would have noticed the "gap", if you didn't point it out. But that's a good idea to insert some hand stitches to bring it all together. You'll love it even more then. Nice work!!!
Thank you so much. Actually, I am very pleased with it, which makes a change for me, I am so critical of everything I do !!
Well done you obviosly got it sorted out. Very nice.
That was the first thing I thought about when I woke up !! My son helped me arrange the printouts, saying "Over a bit Mum, that's it,now go for it" ! Then he went to work, grinning, and telling me to have fun !!
