My 3rd ballerina doll. This one is for my GD Angie. I added the spools of thread so you could better judge her size. She is about 13 inches tall. She is made ITH then hand sewn together. The design is from Embroidery-Outlet. The Nora doll. Thanks for looking. Hugs, Susan

I have a few of her designs and have never done them, what are you using for the hair is my hardest part I guess, bought to make them for my GD and still haven't, maybe I will try one now :) beautiful work

I use yarn for their hair. I wrap the yarn around (12wraps) something flat. Then I use masking tape to hold it togetherand slide it off. Then I use my sewing machine and a line through the center. Remive the tape and pin on the doll head. Use matching thread and sew in place along the stitched line. Then gather the loops on the side and tie into pigtails. Then stitch the pigtails to the side of the head and add bows. You can leave them looped or cut the loops. It took me a while to figure out how to do the hair. That was one of my hold ups on making dolls too. Hope this helps you. Hugs, Susan

Wonderful doll. do you need anything special (long needles) to finish her? Is that tulle in the roll about 6inches? Thanks I am considering, she is so cute!

No, there are no special needles needed. I just use a whip stitch or ladder stitch for the most part. Yes, it is tulle. I purchased mine at Wal-Mart on the bolt. So I think it is 60 inches wide. I buy half a yard for each doll. Hen I fold it like a fan, back and forth so I get 3 folded layers of tulle for he skirt. Then I sew a running stitch across he long edge with the raw edges, gather it up and tie it around the doll. After I tie ie around her I do tack it in plac so it doesn't slide around. They are very easy. Just time comsuming wih all the little details like all her ribbons, hair and such. Give one a try. I have found I seem to have become addicted to make these ITH stuffed creatures, as you can see. Hugs, Susan
