very good question i never thought about what side i just always ask were do u want it ???lol
Thanks! I donate time at a thrift store that funds our small towns Food Bank, I put my logo on the left side, but everone else put theirs on the Right. I hate to be the only one to stand out so today I put a logo on the right. Thanks To ALL
As others have said, the normal protocol is for the badge to be over the left-breast pocket or on the pocket itself. This stems from the protocols for the armed forces who wear their countries medals on the lefy breast (starting above any pocket line). Medals awared by other countries are normally worn over the right breast. Of course, in the commercial world, the customer dictates the final position of badges and names.
With a name tag, you put it on the side you shake hands with, as that is the part of the chest that moves closer to the other person as you greet them. So, if you're left handed... but if you're right handed... Also, if I have a pocket on one side only, I prefer to balance this with the design on opposite side. And if I'm putting a large design on one side of the lower shirt only, I balance that on the opposite from the pocket.
I always put it on the left unless the customer asks for something different.
I always put the design over the heart like when we pledge allegiance to the flag. Works for USA anyway :-)
Left side, pocket area (or above the pocket) is the generally accepted rule. However, especially with a one-pocket shirt, the design can go on the right. Another option is name (over pocket) on left with design on right. If a commercial job, the final decision is always with the customer.
Don't think there are any "hard core" rules...but if you look at most shirts that have logos on them, I believe it is on the left side...
