This is my second purse. It is home dec fabric and lined with a knit which does not fray and stabilized it using the wet liquid goo method. I let it drip outside weighted with clothes pins, an then used a hair dryer. The handle will not last long as it is just Christmas trim, however if handled with a little care will last a couple seasons. Love the pattern, looking forward to the new design without the zipper, because I forgot to move it out of the way and hit it and bad bad bad. thankfully the machine seems OK. .

My greatest fear with zippers...bad bad bad...but then mine would be broken too. I'm glad your machine is fine. Can't wait to see your next one.

It has a pretty design. Home decoration fabrics don't agree with my embroidery machine if I do more than one layer.

I've never heard of the 'wet liquid goo" method of stabilization. Is that with starch that just dries?
I think you did a good job of your purse.

This time I used badgemaster. Just mix in hot water till it dissolved, cleaned out some lumps... have those anyway and dip and hang til dry. How much? as much as you can get dissolved.

I dip all unruley or drapey fabrics especially organza.
