Hi gdpickren, welcome to cute family, I have the Magna Hoop Jumbo for my ULT 2001, also bought the Magna-Hoop Software. Ann the gran and Eileen Roche had it in Orlando at the ATG Special in April..haven't tried it yet, so can't vouch for it's worth, but some of the others have given you good comments...so will just add to your flowers...

Welcome to the Cute Family. I have the Magna Hoop . It is for special projects. I have just ordered heavier Magnets from Magna Hoop .com for $ 15.00.( for heavier projects like towels )
I think it is worth the price. ( I got mine for
$ 99.00 on sale from Kens Sewing Center.com ( was after Paducah Sale might be back to reg. price now. $128.85. Hope this helps. A flower for you.

The problem I have had with it is if I don't have my stabilizer super-taut and if the inner hoop is too close to the lower edge of the outer hoop, the metal plate will cause "drag" and will catch on the seam on my machine where the embroidery unit attaches to the rest of the machine. That is a BAD thing. However, if I get things aligned correctly, it works pretty well. If you do a lot of things that are suitable for use in the Magna-Hoop system, it would probably be worth the investment for you. If you don't do a lot of that type of project, save your money. It isn't the "miracle" that it tends to be advertised as.

Yes, I own one and use it for special projects that I don't want to leave hoop burn. (Like velvets) It is also great for ribbons, and corners of handkerchiefs, men dress shirt cuffs and many other uses. I do not use it for everything and would reccommend it for everything. But I feel it was worth the money for me. I got mine from Ann the Gran's site. ;) Welcome to the site, by the way...Glad you stopped in.;)

I am assuming you mean that magnetic frames hoop. Got mine on Nancy's Notions. Worth it? Depends on what you are doing. I have a Viking and have to use the larger hoop...I think I would like the 5x7 hoop better, but it's not for the Viking 5x7. I did find I had to REALLY stabalize. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Hope this helps.
