I bought some tablecloths last summer at a yard sale for pennies. I would love to embroider them, but am hesitant to start. I'm not sure how to do the scalloped edges, but you have done a splendid job!! Very pretty!
Stunning, simple and very effective. Thanks for the information on how you sewed it out. Love and blessings Chris, Newcastle, Australia.
A wonderful accomplishment.. will be admired for generations well done
Lovely...a true heirloom...make sure you sign it and date it somewhere...
I want to thank everyone for their compliments. The table cloth has been my biggest project so far. I also have to say thanks for all the inspiration for all of yous, yes I have been looking for a while at all of your beautiful projects. I have smaller projects in line for right now. I will be working on place mats, napkins, napkin rings, coaster, kitchen towels etc for my friend's wedding gifts. Then I will be working on making curtains for my place and this year's Christmas gifts.
this was a big undertaking & you have done just a fantastic job she will love it! Welcome to our Cute family, hugs Loralye
I love the elegant simplicity of the designs on white. It really has a handmade look about it that I love.
Beautiful job on a challenging project!
Welcome to Cute!
Neat and beautiful work.My favorite is making scallops. I love it. Very difficult job. You have great patience to do it. Keep the spirit going. Now I will try doing it.
A lovely tablecloth! Placement on round cloths is a bit challenging, I usually do it by folding; you did a great job. And the colours are nice and fresh.
I folded the cloth in half then in fourths then again and ironed a crease. I also placed pins along the edge where I wanted the top on the scallop. Thanks
Beautiful piece of work. Was this done like in an endless hoop?
The biggest hoop I have is a 6 x 10... so I just re-hooped about 24 times.
Awesome i love the scaloop how did u do it ???on your regular machine????
Thanks everyone, The scallop is 5 scallops together that fit into my 6 x 10 hoop. I re-hooped about 24 times around the table cloth. I do not have an endless hoop...maybe some day.
Wow! You have done a lovely job with this. Your cousin will be pleased I am sure. Shirley
Thank you, I was a little nervous on the last hooping for the scallop border.. if it would line up or not.
