That's how I did it when I first started almost 10 years ago. My dealer gave me a few names of safe emb sites and I went from there. I agree with Karen, (O2kar) not all freebies are worth collecting. After awhile you develope your own taste in design and style. I get my news letters from the sites I trust and check out their new items. Hugs..Carol
I have been having a major cleanout of my freebee file, you know how it goes the ones you delete are what you are looking for next week. hugs
I agree. I googled myself and enjoyed checking out the digitizer's designs of so many sites this way. And I learned a lot. Like not all freebies are worth collecting and there are digitizers I like and those whose designs are good but not what I tend to use. I mentioned this once and and decided I would not mention it again. Others are not interested in doing it this way.
When I bought my embroidery machine ,it was part of the sell , sell , sell to be able to download freebees. I started a file called freebees, in no time it was filling up. The funny thing is I could never find anything I liked so started buying from sites. There are a couple that I stay away from, but I mostly am happy. Exploring sites is a lot of fun and most times you learn something new. cheers Heather
I am with you Heather, I don't look for embroidery designs but with the clipart sites I always make sure I am on the mailing list, this way I get a reminder to go back and have a look at the site.
