Little Bo Peep Made by My Mom :)

The weather in the UK has been scorching and I have been making the most of it. I went to a village carnival and it reminded me of my Mom making outfits for me as a child.

So I thought I would "Show Off" my moms handy work. This is me many many moons ago! dressed up for our local carnival.
Do you like my smile? :D

Apart from a t-shirt and 2 hula hoops the rest of the dress is made from crepe paper, all hand stitched by my mom. She then knitted the lamb, (I remember stuffing it with scraps of foam and material). The crook was made out of an old metal curtain rail.

We were very LUCKY it didn't rain!

Thank you for looking :)

May 8, 2013 -- So pretty and she was so talented. Made me remember that my mother made my sister and me dresses made from crepe paper for costumes -- one I remember was we were dressed as a daffodil (me) and a tulip (my sister), Thanks for the memories.

On behalf of my Mom, Thank you Cuties for all your lovely comments, I am most certainly proud of her. I have printed this page so she will be able to read your comments and am sure she will be thrilled. Glad you also liked my smile :) Flowers for all*

Only a mother would go to all of that trouble for a costume. Lucky you! ;)

Such a cute dress would have cost a small fortune to have used lace. A definite labor of love. So yes good thing it did not rain. Would have dampened your smile which I am sure the real one is much nicer.

Unbelievable, but why are you covering your face? Is it something to do with not wanting people to know who you are? I'm just curious. Love and blessings Chris

The dress is wonderful! Your mom must have spent hours making that costume for you. I am glad rain didn't spoil the day or your dress.
Your smile is perfect -- it completes the happy face you always seem to wear. ;)
