Thanks to everyone for your "pat on the back" I think I might try to enlarge the pieces. Otherwise, my GD is getting a doll from a long loved Simplicity pattern that I have used for my daughter and nieces. I will have to try some of the doll faces I have accumulated instead of hand embroidering one.

She is a cuttie for sure! I'm always looking for doll designs to make for my family's little ones. I'll have to check out Oma's for what she has. Thanks! You did a wonderful job on the doll; she'll be hugged and loved by the recipient!
I think she might end up an only child. She is smaller than I really expected, and my poor fingers were tired when I got done. A sweet face, though. I opted for a pants outfit, though there are dresses for her.
