Hi and welcome. I have a futura too! Hope you have got your files downloaded and working. PM me if you need assistance and I will try to help. You are at a great site for assistance. I have recieved so much help here, that I feel reasonably confident in offering my assistance now, too. Hugs Christine, Johannesburg
Welcome to Cute!
Just in case you have not figured out how to download the files -- after placing the XXX files in your cart, go to the top where you can see your user name and click on the down arrow. Find "Download Center" and you should be able to work it out from there. Let us know if you need help there too.
If you have already done that but cannot find the files or you are not sure they downloaded -- let us know what operating system you are working with and which internet browser you use so we can help you further.
Welcome and it looks like you got your answer. This is a great place to be.
Hello Nicole, welcome to Cute!!! this is a great site and no question is silly, we all learn from each other, Enjoy!!
Hi Nicole and welcome to Cute, if I am reading your question right, you have received the designs from here and just can't work out what format to use? Is that right?
If it is, well then here is something I got from the Singer Site which tells you which format you can use with the Singer sewing machines.
The New Singer Futura range, eg, CE150, CE200, CE250, CE350, XL-400 uses .FHE embroidery format and also CHE (Compucon) design format - however the Singer embroidery software that comes as standard with many Singer Futura will automatically convert the following embroidery formats,
XXX
PSW
PEC
PES
HUS
SEW
EXP
DST
PCS, FHE and CHE, purchase any of the above formats is fine.
However Singer's most usable format is .XXX
Singer XL5000 and XL6000 use the format with the file extension .XXX
Singer's software called "Singer PSW" a hardware and digitizing software package will load and save in many different formats but buying .XXX you'll be safe.
Older machines like the Singer Quantum XL-100, XL-150, XL-1000 use .XXX format
You can use Wilcom Truesizer to change formats from one type to another or WinRar, or Pulse Ambassador etc. I am sure there are many other websites with free software too.
Love and blessings Chris
