My name is Angie and I am not a new Cute either. I think I joined sometime in 2008 when I had purchased a used machine with no help built in. Reading posts is so helpful!!! Thanks all Cuties.
I have 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild with the second one ready to be born next month.
I live in the Sacramento area in sunny California. 2 hours away from San Francisco and the ocean and 2 hours away from the mountains and snow in the winter. I love all crafts and lately got into quilting in more detail. I owned a yarn shop for 12 years and worked as a bookkeeper for a private school for many years. Now I am retired and love every minute of it. Still don't have enough time for everything I wan to do.
Nice to meet all of you.

Good Afternoon Cuties, I live in the USA, in the State of Alabama, in the southern most rural part of Montgomery County. I have 2 children and 3 grandsons, a husband, and a DIL When school begins in the fall I will be the oldest teacher on faculty where I teach, and several of the students already refer to me as Grandma. I have been one of the Cuties for 2 1/2 years. After chemo and radiation for breast cancer I decided that I wanted to prove that I could still learn something new so I bought an embroidery machine. It has been a long struggle. But, with the help of the Cuties sometimes I'm able to make something presentable. Regards to all, Stella

Eldest daughter has 2 children and they have all just come to live with us whilst they save some money for a home. Not much sewing being done now (darn!!!) but still keep up with my Cuties site. Lillian is in Alabama and has close family 30 minutes from me, but we have never meet. Linda Flanders is more than an hour away south of me and we have never meet. It is still a small word!! Lyn, I'm so glad that you brought this back up. It does help us to remember and also to get to know the new folks. I can't remember the date I first signed up. There used to be a place where you could go and see but it's been gone a long time now. I did see that my first post was on 29 June 2007, but I remember skulking in the background for quite awhile before I started yapping. I am from Northwest Georgia just a bit west of the beginning of the Appalachian trail. I have hiked small parts of the trail, but have past the time/age/strength that I will hike the full -approximately 2,200 miles (3,500 km). My state is next to Alabama and you know some of the Cuties from there, too. Oh, my name is Jerrilyn, I am 5'7 1/2" and I weigh.......TMI

Hi, all you new Cuties! I am an OLD cutie, (take that to mean "age", as well! LOL As Jerrilyn so conveniently posted the state of Georgia, I chose to respond at this link! I live near Macon, GA, the center of the state, in a small rural community, but convenient to major shopping areas. I have been sewing and doing other crafts most of my life; machine embroidering for about ten years. I am retired and the mother of three grown daughters, the oldest seen in my avatar with me, has Downs Syndrone. She keeps me busy with her Special Olympic activities, as to being the chauffeur and "cheerleader"! I try to slow down long enough to get in my sewing room to stitch occasionally! It's also my therapy room for "ME" time, and I don't exactly mean machine embroidery, either! LOL I have a 16 year old gs, who's on his high school golf team, and an 18 year old gd (who just graduated from high school last week)! My, how time flies by so quickly! Happy stitching to you ALL!
Hugs, Angel

Hello CUTE family - I am not new to this group - been here for longer than I can even remember. Hehehe! I am Shirlene and I live in Ogden, Utah - USA - when you LQQK at the US map - we are to the right of California by two states - it is the state that LQQKs like a little box on top of a bigger box. I live across from the Great Salt Lake and the mountains. I always love these sort of threads, because it allows us to get to know the members of the CUTE family. Thank you Lyn for starting it.

I have been embroidering since 2002 and I have a passion and Love of Lace (FSL-Free Standing Lace) for those that do not know me, yet. My Mother was LorettaG28 (Miss Loretta) - I miss her terribly. I haven't been doing much embroidery in the last year and have just moved into an senior apartment complex. I am working on getting my PC setup with my embroidery program and have my machines about ready to get to work. I hope to have all my extra stuff sorted and out of boxes really soon. I have missed being on the CUTE site and all of you very much. Unconditional Love, Shirlene

Hi everyone. I'm Betsey. Grace and Ham(let) were two of my favorite cats, long gone now. Current cats are Sugartoes (white paws dipped in sugar bowl?) and Dubba, who started out as W.C. or Wild Child. They were foundlings and somewhat feral. Dubba got panthered last year and lived to tell about it. My two boys are grown and gone. I'm at that awkward stage - retired and no grandbaby to hold. i flower garden a great deal and have been regrading an area by hand to make it suitable for a garden. Don't know where I get these dumb ideas. We live in rural Alabama, north of Auburn University about 1/2 hour. My hubby is a retired Methodist pastor. Anybody out there anywhere near me? Fascinating to see what a crowd we have from Australia and really from all over!

Good day, Ladies (or should that be G'day, given the number of Aussies who have replied to this post!).

Here's a brief introduction to the odd one out amongst you. My name is Dennis and I am from a small village called Monkton which is situated in the county of Kent in the south-east of England. I am 65years going on 25 (I wish) and am married to the trouble and strife, Ann. We are now both retired, Ann from banking legal services and me from the fire and rescue service. We have no children of our own but just borrow them from family and friends on the basis that we can always give them back at the end of the day! It's not that we don't like children but can't eat a whole one in a single sitting...lol.

I was introduced to sewing as a lad, when I had to learn how to darn socks, replace buttons and pocket linings, and the like. I took up machine embroidery about two years ago, purely as a hobby. I also enjoy designing gardens and growing plants. I keep Koi carp in two ponds in my garden. I am a fair-weather motorcycle enthusiast, riding a Honda Goldwing when the conditions permit.

I enjoy watching motorcycle racing, CRICKET (for the benefit of the little minx) and rugby union. I detest anything to do with football (that is 'soccer' I believe for my American cousins).

If there is anything else you would like to know, you only have to ask.

pennifold by pennifold 29 May 2013

He he he! Love from the Minx!

I'm with you on the Soccer side, but I do admit I love watching Australian Rules Football - it's played with an oval ball, very hard to kick it straight, but the guys that play do it well! Love Chris

Hi Dennis, Are you ready to lose the Ashes or will I have egg on my face. Please let us know what sewing you like to do or are you like me a do lots of different things?

dennis999 by dennis999 30 May 2013

The only Ash's we are going to loose is our ash trees to some nasty disease. Now, how do you like your egg..........raw, scrambled, fried...only joking....lol. Regarding sewing, my main interest is machine embroidery but I do other fairly basic machine sewing from time to time.

crafter2243 by crafter2243 30 May 2013

Dennis This took me back a few years. I had to darn all the socks in my family when I was young. People look at me as if I am crazy when I mention that specially my children.

Well now Lyn, what a lovely idea you have. It's so nice to be able to see where all us gals live. I see there a lot of ladies in Australia - I am amazed! May I be the first from South Africa to re-introduce myself. My name is Debbie (there seems to be a lot of us). I am 50 something, lost count now, and I live in Durban, the warmest part of the country. I am not a new cutie, been here for about 4 years. I design and sew clothing and costumes for theatre ballets and plays. I love this site and try to make time for embroidery, be it by hand or machine. Welcome to all the newbies around the world.

I have a 630, and a 230 (Berninas.) Someone on a yahoo group titled Bernina the "Bentley" of sewing machines. I do love the two that I have. I also have a Pfaff quilting machine, a Singer feather weight that I tote to quilt quild and sewing classes. Also a hand crank machine, a treadle machine and a felting machine. Hi gals and guys,

I'm Chris and I live in beautiful Jewells a suburb of Newcastle, on the East coast of New South Wales, Australia. I've been a Cutie member here since just after Veronika started this site. I have 3 children, 2 married and one in a partnership for over 8 years and 5 grandchildren. I love sewing and have a Husqvarna Designer 1 and a Brother Quattro Innovis Eye. I also love singing, gardening and CRICKET! (This is just a little "in" joke for Dennis from England, when he reads the post!) Love and blessings Chris.

Hope they can bring back the Ashes but our boys are not as good as a few years ago. Why do they have to age and retire?

Hello cuties,

I´m 52 years old and from Portugal. I live on the coast, about 55Km north of Lisbon.
I am married, have three adult children and soon I will be grandmother for the first time. My hobby is all kinds of crafts. If it were possible, I did not work full time and dedicated myself only the arts. But this is just a dream for at least another 14 years more.
Hugs Anabela

I'm not a new member but I also like to know where everyone is from. I so enjoy the birthday listings everyday as that tells us where different ones live. I'm in the USA and live in Southwest Missouri. A small town in the Ozark Hills called Shell Knob. Juanita

Hi Jaunita, I live in Lincoln, AR. We are practically neighbors ! You are about an hour 1/2 from me. I have visited Shell Knob a few years back.
