Woo hoo - its been raining all afternoon so I couldn't do any gardening! (There is plenty to do after being away from home for four weeks) So I went into my sewing room to see if my machine was still speaking to me. I asked Mike to take a photo of what I was doing and he took this one as well. I thought you might like to share a laugh at my expense! We did spend quite a while sitting in the sun with friends this last weekend... but I didn't realise how long until I saw this.

While we need to be careful about the sun's ray - it is wonderful to have the sun shining - it has been a long and cold winter. I usually burn my part in my hair first!!! I bet your machine said "welcome back"!! Hugs, Laura*

Well, having read the post by Vickiannette, consider yourself told off, Sue.

Now Sue, you probably don't get as much sun as I do here in Aust. but I really must give you a little 'talking to'. Sun burn is very dangerous and must be avoided. Our whole family has fair skin and some have red hair and should live in England or Scotland, so we never go outside without first applying a SunBlock product. I had a skin cancer removed and the procedure cost a whopping $1000. because I haven't always been careful.

You are quite right to take me to task. It is very rare for me to ever sit in the sun, however I do spend quite a lot of time outdoors.

Nice colour - may we see more of the sun soon!
Is that one of the tetrahedrons you are working on?

I went out to do errands, did my first stop, used the rest room and saw my face was red and splotchy. All I had done was drive 15 minutes. Here the rule is Sun Screen to go to the grocery store! Can you pull the video from last year? I would love to see and hear it again. Thanks

I too managed to get a few strap marks when we had summer two weeks ago, I was out in the garden putting late potatoes into bags and tubs.
It was so good to feel that warmth on my back.
wonder if this is how all our future summers will be. three days of sun and two weeks of rain

A swimsuit strap? We had beautiful weather here this weekend, also. I'm so happy for some sunshine. ;)

Is this what they mean when they say "ring around the collar?"
LOL
What are you working on? I am guessing your machine is still on speaking terms with you...
