Help! I need suggestions and/or advice. I was going through my 'stash' of emb designs for floral designs for summer. I found what I wanted BUT the designs had over 90,000 stitches each! Yikes! What was I thinking?

I know that these will not go on T shirts :-) ,but my questions are; What sort of fabrics/stabilizer/needle combinations would work well ? My design field is 5x7 and I wanted to do home dec things like placemats and cushion covers. I also don't think that quilting cottons would work , but perhaps I am wrong here? Any input would be much appreciated.
Hugs, Nadyne

I think just the same as mops, on a nice linen, you can make a very special work. your fabric must be well tighten in the hoop. Have you many change of colours? *****

I will also look for something else to embroider. It is going to be stiff anyway, way too many sts. Hugs.

I'm with graceandham - life is too short for 90 000 stitches! (Except for something very, very special!)

I prefer a prewashed linen with a medium cutaway stabilizer for dense designs and would not stitch it at the highest speed my machine offers. Problem is that lengthens the sewing time, 90,000 st at 500/min takes 3 hours, that's a very long time if you aren't sure how it stitches out. Could you test a small section first (cutting in your software)? That's what I would do.

I may rethink this...but I appreciate the advice. I think it is the time element that puts me off a bit. Thanks!

I'm with graceandham! You'll never do them, so press Delete now before you change your mind. LOL

I may not do them but I won't delete anything I have bought! :-)

Just my viewpoint - they did an unkindness to include that many stitches in anything. Move on!
