THIS IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. I ALWAYS WANTED TO MAKE A QUILT AFTER SEING A CLIENT OF MINE MAKING ONE WITH GOLD ON CALICO AND THAT IS ALSO STUNNING. SO AFTER SEEING YOUR ONE COLOUR I MIGHT HAVE TO GET TO WORK. . WELL DONE. HUGS TO ALL.
Thank you very much. This is the third quilt I've made, but I don't think I will be making another one, I don't think I have got that much patience left! But I said that after the last one !!!
Pat this is stunning and congratulations on finishing it. Now enjoy using it
Hi Caroline, thank you. It was more than I dare do not to finish it, my son had the whip going !!
It is very unusual to see a quilt made for satin because it is so hard to handle. Your patience in stitching this is amazing, and it resulted in a gorgeous quilt! This is sure to be a heirloom piece to be treasured through the years.
Thank you so much. If I had known that satin would be hard to cope with on such a large project, I wouldn't have started it, but I kept going, and now the worst is over, but I must admit, it looks very nice!
Wow, wow and again wow, lots of work, I need to start a quilt this week, should be a huge job
great on this one,
hugs
Michelle
Thank you, but the hardest part was putting the border on. There were 60 blocks, joined to the four sides of the quilt, and it was an awful lot to put to the machine. As it was satin, it kept slipping, and I ended up with a pair of rubber surgical gloves on to get a grip on it!! But I am very pleased with it.
