It's sew nice to see these dresses come back to the top again. xx
Wonderful! I hadn't seen this before...do you have a website where I could buy this pattern and directions? I do have the 8x12 hoop and the wee ones would love these. Your pics are just so beautiful and I can't imagine how you designed these!
I missed this the first time around. What an amazing job you have done.
Oh these are beautiful Kim, well done. I love the design on the front - I guess you added this yourself? Can you make one for me too? Oh...;I guess I'm not small enough...such a shame!
Thanks, Tracey...I designed the bodice to be made totally in the hoop and the design was added during this process as well...
Beautiful job, these are so cute! Makes one wish they were a kid again...well maybe not so much :P
the girls dresses are adorable Kim ,now I wish I had a 8 x 12 hoop
Thanks, Monika...I am always wanting a bigger hoop than I have...hoping Baby Lock comes out with something even bigger!
Hi Kim your dresses are r just lovely your girls will so pretty and I love your embroidery design it looks so cute...soozie
Thank you so much for your kind words...My "girls" just love getting these summer twirley dresses!
oh your dress are absolutely beautiful very nice work...
Love your dresses. Very pretty and nicely done, thanks for sharing.
would still love to get a pattern for this ith project. anyone selling one yet? thanks! Debra
these are amazing! I am fairly new to sewing and embroidering. Does anyone have this pattern that will fit 5 x 7 hoop, would that even fit a one year old? I would pay for pattern. thanks!
Well, just look at your hoop and you'll know it's impossible. You could probably do ITH bodice for a doll. I have 5*7 too and there's a lot of projects that can only be tiny, for example, the baby bibs in one hooping.
beautiful and well done. To bad my daughter is grown and no grandkids yet.
Even in winter with a top and matching legging these would be sew cute!!! Awesome design! Beautiful dress.
These cute dresses shout out Summer. The design you chose to go on them is just sew sweet. LOVE Them
Beautifully made and since they are made ITH they are all identical for the girls (well except the different sizes).
Yes..and I did change up the colors on the little one...pink instead of purple...but the beauty of this bodice is that the center design can be changed out for anything you choose...I chose this one because I thought it matched the fabric well.
Wow, they are stunning, well done, definitely worth all the work you put in to making them. Any little princess would love one of these. If you decide to share/sell your designs I would love to be put on your list. Diana :)
Would you be interested in writing a tutorial for all of us who have not yet figured out how to do the ITH bodices? You did a very nice job!!
The dresses are fantastic, and you made the patterns! Yeah! Excellent - if there were a embroidery meet I think you would win the "all around" for sure!
Thanks...I appreciate your kind words...they do take a bit of time, but I think they are well worth it
These are wonderful. Your girls will look adorable With these beautiful dresses.
These are adorable - how did the first ones fit? Did someone take a pic of the girls? Hugs, Laura*
The first ones, the Heirloom dresses, fit okay...the armholes were a bit big, but fortunately not huge..I really like this bodice better because the armholes are completed in the hoop and are no armhole cuts in the skirt and no bias tape to futz with. These also run fairly true to size with any child's dress pattern which is good. Thanks or your comments.
so wonderful
you should submit this to Designs in Machine Embroidery magazine
they are very well done! Good for you. the girls will look absolutely adorable in them! hugs Loralye
Thanks, Loralye...can't wait to get them off in the post...then wait for the pictures to come...
These are darling...Just what I like easy and beautifull...I also would like the pattern if you decide to sell it...
Add me to the list of those who'd be interested in the pattern. I'm sewing a lot for the little ones in my family and this would be great to have for summer dresses. --Sandra
Me too! These are just so cute and original looking. I'd be interested in the ITH tutorial too!
These are just wonderful. So much wonderful detail. Should you decided to sell the directions please let me know. I would love to own it. Thanks and thank you for posting.
Hadn't really thought about selling the pattern, maybe I should give it some thought..
Do you have a pattern that others could purchase? Or did you start with a "base" from someone else's pattern??
This is my own pattern that I developed to sew out in the hoop...the last one I did had the armholes finished with bias tape in the skirt portion of the dress...this one has the entire armhole finished in the bodice in the hoop...
